St Agnes Birthing Center
Their pay is based on years of experience. Are you a new grad? The interview questions are the normal "why do you want to work L&D", "what are your strengths and weakness'" etc. Let me know how it goes!

St Agnes Birthing Center
Interview went great, I start in July. The manager is very nice. Good luck!

St Agnes Birthing Center
I finally have an interview for a L&D position after 3 years of med surg and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience at St Agnes and or if you know their pay scale for experienced nurses?

Breaking out of LTC
I worked on a TCU for six months after graduation and started applying for jobs in hospitals. I made sure my resume had all the skills I used on the TCU, assessment, dressing changes, Charge Nurse, TPN, IV's, Tube feeding, etc. I landed a job on the med/surg ortho floor at a local community hospital and I love it. I actually miss the TCU too so I pick up PRN hours there as well. Good luck and work on that resume!

Rehab/LTC nurse to Med/Surg nurse: advise please
I look forward to hearing comments on this. I work at a Transitional Care Unit/LTC with up to 30 patients and I had an interview today for a Med/Surg Ortho unit. The manager said up to 6 patients and that sounded like heaven but I understand they are more acute which is actually what I'm looking forward to.

How long do you wait for a call?
The two interviews that I have had I received call backs pretty quick (within a week) for the interviews. I also received dozens of rejection emails too though. You just have to keep applying and try to follow up with nurse recruiters at the hospitals.

Genesis Healthcare Nurse Residency Program
Thank you so much for the info. I'm getting really excited, I do a shadow day next week to get familiar with the facility and then I start orientation 9/7. So thankful I found a job!

New grad starting LTC job next week...
This is very encouraging! I start in the subacute unit of a LTC facility but I'm fortunate to get 8 weeks orientation and then 2 weeks on the floor with my mentor so I'm definately eased into everything. It's not the ED job that I wanted but I'll get there eventually.

Genesis Healthcare Nurse Residency Program
I was accepted into the September New Grad Residency and I'm excited and nervous! How is training go for you now? Are you in LTC or a skilled facility?

Loosing hope as a new graduate
I just graduated in May but I feel your frustration. I had an interview last week only to be told other applicants with experience were being considered. I have another interview next week for LTC, not my first choice by any means but we'll see how it goes. Good luck, I feel your pain.

MBON says Passed Exam Item Status Pending
I took my NCLEX on Saturday and everything says completed except "Discipline" says "Pending". I'm not going to stress about it because I know I haven't done anything to require "Discipline". They probably update everything in stages I would give a few days and if it doesn't change give them a call.
