  1. I just accepted a position at NYP: Cornell and my starting hourly rate is $40.79 (not including night differential) and Im a new grad.
  2. New Grad: May 2012 RN, BSN NYC private hosptial: Medical Surgical Floor (no exp) Starting Base salary $79,443 (not including shift diff, which is about another 6k) Hourly: $40.79 shift diff: $3.50 (+/- some cents)
  3. I've recently got hired for a position at NYP. I already work there and applied for my transfer back in April. I interviewed with a Recruiter in June and then a Nurse manager in October. Be prepared to wait, bc they only call if there is an opening on a unit that is and if you are a new grad, it may take longer only if the unit is hiring New grads. I consistantly contacted HR every week during the summer, keeping my name in their ear. With new grads they ask your preference in the inital phone interview and they try to cater to your preference. After not hearing anything for a while, I told them that I prefer a job (bc my preference was OB/Peds/ICU). After meeting with the Nurse Manager I heard about 1 week later that I got the position. I was supposed to start on Nov 19th, but bc of the storm I wouldnt be able to have my physical and take the pharm exam in time, so I'll be starting in Jan. My advise is, if you dont hear anything, dont give up just keep being persisitant.
  4. that is not true. i transfered to bloomfield and i didnt have the problems you are talking about. the professors are great and very helpful. remember that this is college and the professors arent going to hold your hand and do everything for you. there are always problems with every nursing school, no one is perfect. im a junior now and i enjoy the program. no nursing school is easy and you have to work hard.
  5. Nope, I went to school today to clear my bill. The letter that they gave us is useless because it has no information on it regarding the amount of the scholarship and no personal info for the student ie. name, ss# etc. I called too see if they could fax a letter to the school and they said no I have to wait for the welcome packet; which hasnt been mailed yet. So I ended up having to do a pymt plan and paid almost $1800 today. Ultimately, I will get the money refunded, but its a little frustrating. Im glad I was able to do the payment plan.
  6. I give God the most highest praise!! Congrats to all of us and to those that didnt get it dont worry, its Gods plan!!!
  7. I got it!! God is good!!
  8. Yea, Im in NY so im hoping today I'd get something in the mail.
  9. Yup got your request...
  10. go yankees!! LOL, Im from NY
  11. This is really annoying, I need to clear my bill by the 28th, or I'll be charged a late fee. Ugh...Anyway hopefully they'll send the letters out tonight. An email from another person waiting... I called today & the man I spoke with said they are being sent out today. He said to expect them by the end of the week/beginning of next week.
  12. Did you call the call center, that is what they have been saying all along, I would call an analyst.
  13. Hopefully they mailed the letters Friday, anticipating the letters would arrive today...OPTIMISM!!
  14. You dont have to say your name, and I doubt they would do that...
