Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

Hello how's your application? :)
Hi guys. I'm new on this thread. I am aware you have all applied through California BON but I am on similar situation but applied through Nj BON. Took and passed my nclex last nov 2007 but license not issued because of no SS number and legal status. I am now in US legally n have submitted my SS number n submitted a new application all together as advised by me by Nj BON. Anyone who is in the same boat as me that applied through NJ Bon? I feel so alone n confused.

as of Apr 12 2017 No update yet from BON or haven't received any correspondence from them and my name is not yet listed on breeze.com
Planning to call BON however, according to their site "Contacting the Board for application status while within these timeframes may cause processing delays." Waiting for 9 weeks now, timeframe is 10-12 weeks.
Thank you.
Dont hesitate to call. My friend has almost the same timeline as yours and she called the BON last Monday morning but got no update about her application, felt frustrated, then found out that her license number is posted on her breeze account the same day late afternoon. She waited for only 9 weeks since they received her documents.
Hi,
I just wanna ask you a question. I am in similar situation as you were before.
I am a graduate of the Philippines (2004) and I passed my NCLEX in 2008 through California but never got licensed because I had no SSN.
Fast forward today and I got my immigrant visa and my SSN.
How did you go with your application? Did you encounter any problems?
Cheers,
Vince
Update on my application: Just got my new jersey license today. It appears that both Ca board and Nj board recognises validity of nclex even if i passed 10 years ago. I only had to submit a new application, another criminal background check and copies of my ss card and greencard. It took about 2 mos since I submitted all documents.

No CA will not accept your application without a US SSN. Not sure if your relative is willing to go H1b visa but it will be $$$$ and they can not apply until April and if successful you can not start work until Oct so will have to leave as tourist visa will expire. Also be aware H1B is classed as a skilled visa and experience may need to be provided to the federal government. Otherwise I am not sure what visa they will be applying for hence mentioning H1b
