Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.
Thanks to everybody and to this site, I have just seen my name on breeze and nursys. It took me a total of 2 months from the date I submitted my papers to this date. But how come the validity of my license is very short? In the system, it says it will expire feb 18, 2019. How do they determine the expiration of our licenses?
Hi guys!! I am in the same predicament now. And i lost the letter that I have passed my nclex (2009). I will forward them the new application. I will also include a letter explaining my situation, my ssn card and my license from phl (which is also expired). Fingers crossed. The replies are so helpful for me.
Basically you have to start a fresh application like how you did it the first time but only this time you have to include your expired passing letter with the application for them to know that you already passed the exam before and they will find your old file # from the expired letter. Once they receive the passing letter, they would not require any additional requirements like what they are asking from the new/first time applicants now (OR/DR cases etc).
You do not need to call the CA BON just submit a fresh application with the old passing letter, copy of your ssn, submit the forms that goes to your school, and a live scan fingerprint.
I just got mine earlier this year and those are the things I submitted so you should submit your application once you get here. Good luck to you

Hello! I hope someone could help me here. I heard about concurrency issue in CA. My family wants to move to california this year. I heard from my schoolmates that CA asked them to do the program in which they have to go back to school. =( If I'm not mistaken, they have to repeat the OB and medical surgical nursing. =( I'm a foreign graduate. I passed my nclex RN license back in January 2010 ( california state). I don't have a SSN back then so from california I endorsed it to another state. now that I have my SSN and working as an RN from another state but wants to move to CA. Where do I go first? re-apply? what application? is licensure by examination or endorsement? I heard from some friends if you already passed your nclex in california originally no need to worry? is this correct? please help.
Hi guys, I came accross this thread because I was getting worried about my application to Ca BON. This was my timeline:
NCLEX passed: Dec. 2006 ( got it extended to Dec.2010)
SSN received: 2017
Submitted application for initial Licensure by exam: June 13, 2017
Live scan done: June 12, 2017
Cheque encashed by BRN: June 23, 2017
School documents received by the Board: August 7, 2017.
Received email from breeze to confirm email address August 8,2017.
As of today current processing times say they are processing applications received Jan. 2018.
As of this writing I have not received anything from the Board. It has been 8 months since I submitted my application. I have sent letter of inquiry by email, fax and by mail but no response. I was just wondering what no. to call? On the website for applicants only includes email and fax no. No phone. no. included.
I,ve check my breeZe account no license, searched DCA for license verification, no hits.
I have no idea what to do next. anybody has the sameissue? Is this the norm now for the board with regards to timelines?
Yes. I passed the nclex way back 2008 and I was able to get my license just this year. Just pass them the requirements that you have submitted to them before and your pass letter.
Did you login to your brezee acount. It should say pending or needed additional documents. They will write you a letter in case they will need anything fron you.

Have you tried logging into your account? Do you know your file number? I have to wait for 9 months but it was my fault. I did not send the correct document.
