Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license
Thanks to everybody and to this site, I have just seen my name on breeze and nursys. It took me a total of 2 months from the date I submitted my papers to this date. But how come the validity of my license is very short? In the system, it says it will expire feb 18, 2019. How do they determine the expiration of our licenses?

My cheque has finally been encashed last Tues (May 23). Approximately, how much longer should I expect to wait for my license to be released?

Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license
Hello! I've been following this thread coz I'm going thru with the same scenario as yours. I passed my NCLEX in 2007 and recently got my SSN last March. So far, this is what's (and what's not) happening on my application. Mar 27- Ca BRN received the transcript from my school Apr 12- Ca BRN received my application packet sent via UPS certified first class mail Application packet includes their copy of my livescan form, cheque, SSN, NCLEX pass letter, application form, diploma Until now, the cheque has not been encashed. And it has been almost 6 weeks already. As per their website, they are currently processing items they have received for international applicants from March 1-15. I noticed that this date has not changed for the past 3 weeks. Is it time for me to call and follow up with BRN regarding the status of my application or do I have to wait until they are processing April 1-15 which includes the date that they have received my application?

Interview Preparation for Qualified Nurses
sharrie, I am a nurse from the Philippines and have 2+ years experience in a dialysis area. I will be having an interview for a NHS hospital this early next month. When I was researching about the hospital Im applying for, I found out that they currently do not have a dialysis unit of their own. When I e-mailed my agency if the employer would consider my application considering the experience that I have, I received a reply from the employer saying that as long as I know that the job being offered is a ward job and that I am willing to do more than dialysis, then they would consider me. I am afraid for the interview coz I might not be able to answer their questions. Can you help me regarding the general job description of a ward nurse in UK?Im quite hesitant trying to do ward job because I only had 6 months experience in a general ward and that was years ago. Im thinking on quitting the interview but I am also curious on how the interview for UK goes.. Thanks in advance for the reply..

@ Dodoy, Once again, the MOH or the HOP does not accept male applicants because of "saudization" but you may apply in private agencies because I think MODA which usually goes through private agencies s male nurses. To be qualified, you should have at least 2 years hospital experience. also, those who are in the special area like ER,OR, ICU,CCU usually get a bigger offer compared to those in the ward. Hope this will help you..

to elajsh, I think the salary offer for MOH differs depending upon your area of specialization and experience. Those in the special area like ICU, NICU, OR, dialysis and the like have 20% higher salary than those assigned in the wards. I have a friend working for MOH in a special area and she's earning around SR4100 which is around 54000Php, tax free of course. Hope this has helped you and best wishes on your wedding!!!

Saudi- MOH
Maybe I'm not that updated cause when I went at the POEA office last October, they were not accepting nurses with no experience specially for their MOH. Try your luck piquant and pls. tell me if they are indeed accepting applicants with no experience or if they are now accepting clinical experience as in my case. Althogh I already have a file there, I plan to refile..

hello beibi17, I dont know if you are already informed as to why the POEA does not accept male nurses especially for MOH. In case you are still interested to know, there is a law in Saudi implemented just this year called "saudization" (correct me if I misspelled the word) wherein only female nurses are hired in their hospitals. Although you can apply for private hospitals in saudi through agencies..Also, the POEA no longer accept applicants with no experience or those volunteer and clinic experience..They only accept applicants with 2 years experience which are based in hospitals.. Hope this helped those aspiring to apply in POEA..
