Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.
My questions are:
Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?
What happened?
Did they release your license or not?
If yes: How long did you wait for your license?
If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?
--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.
Called CA BON last April 14 and was informed that they just recently processed my application and gave me a new file number. Apparently, the file number that was given when we passed the NCLEX-RN exam expired when our files were abandoned. Tried giving them my SSN but they couldn't pull up the file since they haven't uploaded it yet on their system. I was informed to send/fax the following documents:
1. Photocopy of my diploma (already sent along with my application form) - RESENT via FAX
2. Photocopy of the issued SSN card - SENT via FAX
3. LiveScan Fingerprint (sent this receipt last Feb 14 on a different mail) - RESENT via FAX
Anyway, I already sent these documents via fax but until now, I haven't received any update yet.
How about your case?
PS: If you plan to call BON, give them your full name instead of your SSN or previous file number if you still don't have the recently issued file number.
I called two weeks ago, she said just wait for 2-3 weeks hence, this weeks I'm trying to search my name in to breeze nor search my name for license - still no records matched.
Same here, called them last Monday but was informed to wait for 2-4 weeks more before calling again for follow-up. Also checked breeze but still no records found.
Hello! I've been following this thread coz I'm going thru with the same scenario as yours. I passed my NCLEX in 2007 and recently got my SSN last March. So far, this is what's (and what's not) happening on my application.
Mar 27- Ca BRN received the transcript from my school
Apr 12- Ca BRN received my application packet sent via UPS certified first class mail
Application packet includes their copy of my livescan form, cheque, SSN, NCLEX pass letter, application form, diploma
Until now, the cheque has not been encashed. And it has been almost 6 weeks already. As per their website, they are currently processing items they have received for international applicants from March 1-15. I noticed that this date has not changed for the past 3 weeks. Is it time for me to call and follow up with BRN regarding the status of my application or do I have to wait until they are processing April 1-15 which includes the date that they have received my application?
i have been following this thread and have the same situation. my problem is, I lost my NCLEX pass letter. is it possible for me to get a duplicate? does Ca-BRN really requires us to submit it with the other documents needed for us to get our US RN License? thank you so much
`JopayRN2015 My license was released last May 22. Received the certificate from CA BON however, i'm not sure if they will still send an ID card. Did you receive your ID card or just the certificate from BON?
`rhythm4jane Depends on how fast they work on your documents or if all your documents are on file. Ours (my cousing and me), both of our checks were encashed between March 20 - 24 and both of our licences was recently released last May 19 and 22. We just wrote our SSN on the letter of passing but was not able to send a photocopy of our SSN card which may have been the cause of delay.
