I just find it weird how my family and friends who are not in the health field they think that my whole life ie just based on Nursing and think that I have labs in my basement or something.
Before covid I was playing guitar in bars/night clubs with my friends band. I loved the music and meeting the people. I also like playing basketball, martial arts, tennis not much of a traveler but I love camping.

If I'm not working or doing classwork, I have a strong passion for sleeping. In fact, I just got done sleeping 22 hours straight.

I enjoy making handmade soap and candles. Also love to read and have tons of books at home. Also love to cook and drink wine.

I'm just about to start a thing for a community knitting project to decorate the downtown in my small hometown with native flowers, leaves, or what have you, knit, crocheted, or felted, to decorate the local museum portico, streetlight fixtures, signs, etc. I can't do flowers worth a damn but I'm going to make a beehive of wire and cover it with crocheted bark in chunky browns and cream and some fat bumblebees in sparkly black and yellow eyelash.

I no longer nurse.
So I guess that means I spend most of my free time being weaned.

It's funny; I definitely have a handful of coworkers whose lives seem quite centered around work - like to the point where they are so bored at home they regularly pick up overtime. No judgment if that's what someone wants to do, and they're probably making bank, which is great! I can't imagine not having enough to do to fill my free time, though.
For hobbies, I'm an avid reader, and I like to write fiction. I can't wait to graduate so I can write something fun for a change! I run and do yoga to stay in shape (I also like to eat dessert...a lot). And when I graduate, I'm so looking forward to getting back into music! I've got a keyboard, a harp, and a guitar I sorely miss trying to play, and I'm dying to take voice lessons again. Weird hobby for someone with outrageous stage fright, but I enjoy it all the same.

I actually really do like nursing-- one of the podcasts I listen to is the Carlat Psychiatry Report. I'm training to be a PMHNP and I just eat up anything in the field.
However, aside from that, my family (my husband, nine year old son, and myself) love to canoe, fish, and camp. We are headed to Acadia National Park this Summer. I enjoy gardening, and I have a vegetable garden, but unfortunately I am not great at it. I also love to sit in my backyard swing and watch the birds and butterflies!
I guess I am "passionate" about public speaking. I absolutely love to talk and give speeches-- but especially tell stories. I am hilarious, if I do say so myself. One of the highlights of the past few years has been that I joined my local Toastmasters branch. We meet twice a month and I just love it.
