Sorry about yesterdayI didnt mean to make everyone upset but I was angry and frusterated and sometimes I get bipolar. Im not making it up my teacher is mean tho. I was exagerating when I said "40 times" about the phone I dont know how much but I know it wasent that many.
Anyhoo, I see everyones was sayin the phone is my "problem" but I think my teacher is old an dosent realize our generation GREW UP with technology so we can multitask just fine. Im payin attention in class an Im also writing notes an everyone else dose it too. My sister and I are real close so we stay in touch but it dosent affect my attention. Im doing A's in my other classes.
OK so I messed up yesterday an Im sorry I made everyone upset. Also I wont mess with my phone in class sence you all say its disrespecful. I emailed my teacher about her office times coz im in class all the time an she said I could see her when she eats lunch in the office. I will try t do that tomorrow when I go there.
Thanx everyone and sorry.
It takes a lot to come back and admit you were wrong, well sort of admit you were wrong.
It has nothing to do with whether or not she was raised with or without technology. Texting is rude when your attention is supposed to be on the speaker. Before cell phones it would be the same as snapping your gum, sighing, rolling your eyes, tapping your fingers, and staring out the window with your arms crossed. It screams disrespect and that you don't care to pay attention to what is in front of you.
We aren't trying to be harsh honey.......we want you to succeed. You aren't able to multitask as well as you think your grades are suffering. Your teacher may be old fashioned but she just may have something to offer you. Put the phone down and find out.
Thank you for coming back and facing the music...that took guts!
Ha! I thought the original post was a joke :/ Wow. Well since it was not, I would like to add my 2 cents... I also grew up with a cell phone; I have had one since I was 12 years old. That means nothing. I am also extremely close with my sister- so close that she knows my class schedule and knows that I will NOT BE TEXTING HER BACK or answering calls until 450pm when I am dismissed. I keep my phone on silent in my purse while in the classroom and give my professor my complete attention (eye contact, ears listening, and hand writing notes when needed). It's called RESPECT.
my husband's solution to dealing with students who text, make, or have ringing phones is simple. when it rings,
he takes it and answers it and simply says, "this is dr.___. i'm sorry but ___ won't be available until ___o'clock
when class is over." class snickers and kid .
when he catches a student texting or making a call, the phone gets taken until class ends.
one of his colleagues answers student phones that ring in class, "good morning! this is ___'s daddy. i'm taking messages
for (student) today." he says it's great practice for when his baby has boyfriends...like when she's 40 or so.
I also read your other post, and I must say that if the papers you submit to your teacher look anything like your posts here, that could be part of your problem, as well. Not to beat the AN dead horse, but capitalization, spelling and punctuation really do matter. In this age of drive-by posting and texting, cutting corners when writing seems to be the norm. However, that is not so when it comes to schoolwork or business. Sentences begin with capital letters and end with appropriate punctuation. Contractions require apostrophes. Spell check is your friend
I am so glad that you pointed this out....I really can't buy the fact that this post is legit....we are dismissed from class for the day if our phones are visable, let alone ring....and the grammer....seriously?....It has to be a ruse.....
texting during class, whether it was once or forty times is rude, disrespectful and indicates a lack of attention to the course. whether your teacher is old or not, it's still rude, disrespectful and rather stupid. your teacher already told you about the phone -- you haven't learned.
if you were multi-tasking "just fine," you'd be acing this class, too. since you're not, pay attention.
this post isn't going to go very far in changing anyone's opinion of your immaturity and manners.
op please stop posting. you are making our generation look bad. i starting going to school for nursing at 16 years old, i became a nurse at 20... and i never sent text messages in class. stop it.
granted, i must give you props for apologizing to everyone, as well as your instructor for your rude behavior. having said that, this is one of several issues that people don't seem to comprehend, when you text or multi-task it always ends in disaster; even though the perpetrator thinks they can do it all. consequently, it's not only the new generation as you stated is everyone who decides to multi-task for example while driving; they end up at ed don't let this happen to you. wishing you the very best in all of your future endeavors...aloha~
Sorry but you still sound immature, and it shows in your posts. You honestly sound like a 12 year old who cant take responsibility for their actions. I honestly thought that your first post was a joke because it sounded so rediculous that a grown adult would wonder what was wrong with the behaviour. It just makes me sad that the current generation has turned this way. Im not even old and im sad that society is like this. Start taking some personal accountability. Everyone here has clearly outlined what you need to to. You need to grow up.

*** she may be mean as a result of your long standing disrespect twords her. sounds like you brought it on yourself.
i was exagerating when i said "40 times" about the phone i dont know how much but i know it wasent that many.
*** irrelevent how many times it was.
anyhoo, i see everyones was sayin the phone is my "problem" but i think my teacher is old an dosent realize our generation grew up with technology so we can multitask just fine.
*** your multitasking abilities are also irrelevent. what are you going to do when you get a job where cell phones are banned as they are in many departments of many hospitals?
im payin attention in class an im also writing notes an everyone else dose it too. my sister and i are real close so we stay in touch but it dosent affect my attention.
*** according to you your sister created a lot of drama as a result of you not returning her text in a short time. either she is a loser or has her own mental problems.
im doing a's in my other classes.
ok so i messed up yesterday an im sorry i made everyone upset. also i wont mess with my phone in class sence you all say its disrespecful.
*** the people who told you that were making a statement of fact, not sharing their opinion. please tell me this teacher is a high school teacher and that you are not in college and please, please tell me you are not a nursing student?
