Ok Class of 2017, Where are you??

Hello my fellow nursing students. I will be starting my nursing classes on July 6. That's only 12 days from now! :nailbiting: I'm both excited and nervous. We had our first orientation yesterday, well it was more like a meet and greet. I have been on YouTube all day looking at videos on nursing school supplies. So I will be starting my school shopping this week. When did you get your school supply list? I was hoping to get mine at orientation, but nope no list! I hope that we can keep each other encouraged through the process. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted into the program.

Woohoo!!!!! Class of 17!!! I start 8/31 and man am I anxious, nervous, scared, excited, happy, overwhelmed and slightly nauseous!!!

Good Luck on getting in. I am in the same boat. I think we all are. My classes start Sept 2 and i have orientation on Aug 26 and boy it can not come soon enough. I know i will regret saying that about 2 or 3 weeks in but for now i am so excited and nervous too. ;) But we can do this!!

Absolutely! We definitely can do it - I mean, we came this far! I'm excited for all of us :) what school are you attending? (Sorry if it's written somewhere already!) I'm in Arizona and it will be through NAU and Phoenix college. I have my NAU orientation this Friday - holy cow!!!

I found all of my books on Amazon! Every single one (which has never happened before). I saved at least $300! So very happy right now. Have you all had luck finding your books?

I did too Purple_roses! I saved around $300 as well. If I were to purchase all the books that we need through the bookstore I would have paid close to $1000 that's outrageous! Thank goodness for Amazon. I just need to purchase my scrubs but I can't purchase those until orientation.

I found most of my books on amazon too! Except for one we have to purchase through the school as part of our "technology bundle". I hear my school used to bundle ALL of the books and you bought one giant $1200 box of books for the whole program. This is the first semester that they've changed it, to finally allow for us to buy used textbooks. I got mine all new or like-new and saved a couple of hundred bucks so I'm very excited about that!

Wow that's so greedy of them! I'm glad they let you buy books elsewhere this time. There was one book that cost $200 at the bookstore and I got it for $30 on Amazon. I also still have to buy a technology bundle, which will be around $400, but I don't think there's any way of getting out of that lol.

Yeah, I'm okay with the technology bundle. Ours is about 650, but it takes us through the whole program. Expensive yes, but not outrageous once you divide it out.
