Ohio State Master's Entry Summer 2016

Published

Hello! Has anyone out there applied to the Entry Master's Program at Ohio State for the Summer 2016 start?

FNP primary, psych secondary

I bet certain areas have less applications than other, which would make the process faster. Even though I didn't apply to either of the areas that people are getting answers in, I'm still anxious.

Does anyone know what it will say on buckeye link if you're NOT accepted? Knowing that others in my specialty have gotten decisions today is making me a nervous wreck!

Has anyone called to see if they are releasing decisions in waves? It seems some decisions for WH and PMHNP came out Saturday and again today.

Last year when I was not accepted it said "decision"

I think it says decision for accepted and non-accepted because for my acceptance it said decision and when i clicked on it it said I was accepted.

Hi everyone--sorry to take so long to write back. My partner lives in the country and his wifi is down (and I have no cell reception there).

I received an acceptance notification on Saturday afternoon, and last night at 11 PM received an official letter from OSU via email notifying me of my acceptance.

I hope I get a fellowship! I am really nervous and excited.

Edit: I applied to the PMHNP program.

To make everyone feel better - I contacted Admissions since my status still states "pending." According to them, some decisions did go out early for "very specific reasons" (which she did not provide me), but that most decisions have not gone out yet. She said the people working on the selection process have until the END OF FEBRUARY to make a decision so that I would just need to keep checking until then.

Hopefully this helps some of us who are still doing the waiting game.

Thank you for that update @ pray247. Perhaps those accepted are fellowship candidates?

You're welcome, jraelyn! I have just been so anxious and it was nice to know that there is still some hope...This board does help keep me sane knowing we all can keep each other updated. I am praying for all of us!

yay @hungrystudent !!!! I was worried when you went AWOL.

Thanks @pray247 that helps my anxiety. Still it's so frustrating waiting. Especially when I originally thought I'd know at the end of January.

@toothless, I know you said you went on the waitlist last year. How long after decisions started going out did they notify you about the waitlist decision? Also, it seems that people were getting denials BEFORE acceptances last year - which seems the opposite this year, since we haven't heard anyone say they didn't get it.

Last year I waited until February 1st for the initial decisions. Then I waited until April 1 for the waitlist decision.
