  1. * handle the program
  2. Hi there, You don't have to take prerequisites through them and can take them elsewhere. Just make sure the classes you are taking at another institution covers what they expect it to cover. For example, they do not accept Mammalian A+P I or II as it has to specifically be HUMAN A+P. I took my prerequisites at a community college and go in. They are very strict on academic achievement as it is a very challenging and intense program. The Director and faculty are very passionate about making sure there is low to no attrition and anyone admitted can enter the program. He did make a comment about how they do look to see if prerequisites were taking at a CC or a 4 year university. For me, I had a very high GPA and a master's degree that I also did well in...so I don't think they gave where I took my prereqs too much weight. However, if someone has a mediocre GPA and also took prereqs at CC and didn't get a solid A, that may raise a red flag for them.
  3. Hi there, I will be starting this fall for their ABSN program. I have visited campus and talked to the BW folks. I have been very impressed with what they offer. Clinical rotations are really good, as you get the chance to learn at sites such as Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and also get to see what smaller community clinics/offices are like. Anyone else out there starting this fall?
  4. What is taking them so long?...... the waiting is killing me! Quick question to the ones admitted ( If you all don't mind I ask), in the email your received were you notified that you were being considered for a fellowship? A few of us are trying to figure out what the "special reason" admissions stated might be. Thanks! Stay warm everyone!
  5. Thank you for that update @ pray247. Perhaps those accepted are fellowship candidates?
  6. Has anyone called to see if they are releasing decisions in waves? It seems some decisions for WH and PMHNP came out Saturday and again today.
  7. My appstatus still says pending. I applied to Women's Health... feeling anxious that it may not be good news for me
  8. Is anyone taking the online pharmacology class this Spring semester through OSU? I am signed up to fulfill the prerequisite but am wondering if I should apply to an accelerated BSN program in case I don't get into OSU...that way I can shave a year off, and reapply through traditional entry next year. If I don't get in, the pharmacology course won't do me any good as accelerated BSN programs, for the most part, don't require it. Anyone in the same boat as me? I wish we could find out sooner! I really don't want to go through the hassle of applying elsewhere, losing money on courses I might not need, etc. I really just want to get in!
  9. kbuss_14.... Just finished mine. It was so fast and we had so little time to respond it was a bit nerve wracking! Did you repeat the question once you started recording? I totally forgot to do that ( as they asked in the email invite), but I feel if we would have then there would have been little (or no) time to respond. I don't think I did well, but I'm always hard on myself so who knows what they will think. I am having a hard time thinking the interview will really count for much as it only lasts a couple of minutes. How much weight can they actually give to that?
  10. Kbuss_14 I am applying to Women's Health as well. Have you done your interview yet?
  11. Hi there, Congrats on getting an interview! I am planning to do mine tomorrow. Can you share any insight into what questions they asked or how many there were? Do you get a chance to think about how to answer before it starts recording? I am applying to the Women's Health Specialty. Best of luck to you!
  12. I applied to Women's Health, with my second choice being PMHNP...although I will probably end up doing both as I would like to intersect the two professionally. I might push mine back to tomorrow, today has turned into a crazier day than anticipated. Hope you guys do well on the interview. I have no idea how long the interviews take... I doubt they will be more than 30 minutes though.
  13. Congrats! Let me know how yours goes. I plan on taking mine on Monday! What specialty did you apply to?
  14. Heard from OSU.. received an invitation to interview. Did anyone else hear? The way they have the interviews set up make me nervous!
  15. Has anyone heard anything? The waiting part is killing me!
