Hello I recently applied for a position at NYU, they sent me an email recently saying to complete an online questionnaire or assessment tool. Is that a good sign? Do I have a good chance of hearing back?

Hi! I applied for the Fall 2019 new grad residency, as I graduate next week. I recieved an email to do a phone screen after Jan 1st. Do you mind if I ask when you graduated and applied?
Hey Guys! I made a new thread titled "NYU New grad residency Fall 2019" for all of those people who just applied and would like to keep in touch regarding progress or questions. I applied on Nov. 1st and recently received an email that says, "email back after January 1st to schedule a phone interview." Has anyone else gotten an email like this? For reference, I graduate Dec. 12 and do not have a date yet for my NCLEX. My GPA is 3.75 and I am most interested in Peds.

Note that I've heard that NYU is slow with hiring right now because they just hired a bunch of people over the summer and they're also dealing with internal transfers. My hiring process with them took 3 months so patience is definitely needed.
hi @ElleWoods would you mind sending the email address of the NYU nurse recruiter? just passed my NCLEX and wanna apply.. thank you... [email protected]
Hi!
I know this is an older post, but it seems like the process is almost parallel to mine--
I've been in contact with the recruiter since the end of Decemeber (when I graduated). I got my ATT late feb, took & passed NCLEX early march and then we set up the phone screen.
At the conclusion of the phone screen she said to email her the end of the week-- as that is when she was getting updates on unit availability. Upon following up I was told there were no openings, and to check back in 4 weeks.
I have my heart set on NYU, but its been 3 weeks and I cant help but wonder if this was just a subtle decline or if theres still hope.
Can any of you speak on their experience with the recruiter? I'm going to email again but want to know how to show my commitment/persistence without being annoying haha.
Thanks in advance for everything!

After I applied I was emailed by a recruiter that said to follow up with her after April 1. I did and we scheduled a phone call for last week that gauged interest in units, and she said to follow up again after NCLEX was scheduled because she didn't know what would be open until around then

I'm a current nurse at NYU and I was with the Spring 2019 group. NYU recently sent out a mass email to everyone indicating that they were on a hiring freeze because of the financial impact of COVID. Not sure when it will be over.

Thanks for taking the time to respond! Do you mind me asking if they mentioned a timeline at all? Or if it was said that they would notify staff once the freeze was lifted? Thanks in advance! (also-- wishing you health +safety!)

Hey! I was wondering if there has been any updates since then? I'm seeing that hospitals are starting to do elective surgeries again/etc. so I imagine the pt census is improving.
I'd appreciate if you can give any insight whatsoever! Thank you ?

For sloan to match NYU's rate it is 97,500 for both hospital. You'll be swimming in money as long as your rent is not over 2200 and you're not on broadway every week.
