  1. I applied to anything that was posted on NYP's website that said it did not require experience. I started applying in November and had my first interview last week. I was hired into Morgan Stanley's Nurse Residency Program with a start date of March 9th. I still have not taken the NCLEX yet. I don't think that NYP actually posts anything about their residency but if you are a new graduate you will automatically start the residency. From what I understand it is just classes for a year and you get a mentor to help you with your progression.
  2. Hello! I just graduated this December with my BSN from TN but I am originally from NYC so I have applied for my NYS license. Has anyone submitted their paperwork to the state and received an ATT? I was advised that all my paperwork was received as on Jan 13. I am wondering how long after that date should I expect my ATT? Then how long after taking the NCLEX do you get your license. Will NYC hospitals accept you with you license number from the BON or do I need to wait for the paper license in the mail?
  3. I graduated in December and also started applying to jobs at the same time. The process is pretty long so I would suggest applying ASAP. If you don't hear from any recruiters, edit your resume and try again. Without taking the NCLEX, I have gotten phone interviews with Mount Sinai, NYU, and Northwell Health. I am currently on my second in person interview with NYP and they are well aware that I do not have a date for the NCLEX but are interested in me anyway because they are looking for someone to start March 9th. Contact me if you have any more questions. Did you got to a NYS nursing program? And how long after submitting your documents to the NYSBON did you recvieve your ATT? I am trying to judge how far out I should anticipate taking the NCLEX. Thanks!
  4. can you let me know how long after submitting your documents to NYS did you receive your ATT?
  5. Hello! I just graduated and I am waiting to take the NCLEX. How long before you received your ATT? I have had phone interviews with Mount Sinai and Cohen's children's hospital. And I have and in person interview with a TA at CHONY. I know there is a nurse residency at NYU and there are a few others.
  6. Hello! I just graduated with my BSN and I am currently on the search for a new grad position in a pediatric unit in NYC. I currently have an interview from Morgan Stanley and Cohen's. I also have a phone interview from NYU's general nurse residency. Is there anyone else out there who is looking into a peds position as a new grad? What steps are you up to in the hiring process and what hospitals are you applying to?
  7. Hey Guys! I made a new thread titled "NYU New grad residency Fall 2019" for all of those people who just applied and would like to keep in touch regarding progress or questions. I applied on Nov. 1st and recently received an email that says, "email back after January 1st to schedule a phone interview." Has anyone else gotten an email like this? For reference, I graduate Dec. 12 and do not have a date yet for my NCLEX. My GPA is 3.75 and I am most interested in Peds.
  8. Hi! I applied for the Fall 2019 new grad residency, as I graduate next week. I recieved an email to do a phone screen after Jan 1st. Do you mind if I ask when you graduated and applied?
  9. @ElleWoods Would you mind sharing what the salary offer is for new grads? Thank you! Congrats on getting a job!
