Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Here's my stats:

Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Physio: A-

Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)

Chem for health sciences: C+

Nutrition: A

Stats: C

Lifespan dev: B

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

how long does it take for us to receive a log-in after submitting our app?

I had my app submitted the 28th and got my login the next day, but I imagine it's going to take a little while longer now since it's closer to the deadline and more people are submitting.

thanks for the info. I've been reading forums from past groups. I'm so nervous. this is the only school I'm applying to

I read all the past forums for like, the last four years, so I feel you!! I'm only applying to one other school, but this is my top choice, especially since I live in NYC already. Really hoping we both get in!

I submitted on 3/21, and then today I got an email from them saying thank you for submitting, said what my preferred name was and then it said "soon we will send in your log in info" so I guess hopefully this week

OMG I got that too

so I just spent 30 mins reading past forums (quarantine things) and I jotted down if people's checklist disappeared or not and if they got accepted or rejected. not sure if it's accurate but based on my observation, people whose list disappeared got in.

also I'd like to point out how people on here are so supportive of each other. let's keep this energy going~

@tropicalbreeze - thank you for that info. I hope that’s the case, and what a great observation if it is. I ditto on the support. We’re all rooting for each other here, and what goes around, comes around! Let’s be honest the healthcare system needs ALL of BADLY right now!! For people who are really eager to still become a nurse during these times speaks for itself! Fingers crossed for all of us ! ??????

Hey guys! I’ve been following this post. Got accepted to two others schools but hopefully waiting from NYU. Has anyone’s else gotten an acceptance letter yet?

My checklist disappeared last Friday 03/20 and I received an email last night stating that my FASFA and CSS had been processed. I am sooo nervous. I had a change of employment (I work for a hospital now) and updated my resume. I uploaded my revised resume to the the applicant portal a few weeks ago, I wonder if that was an okay thing to do? UGH so many worries.

ALSO...Good Luck to everyone! ?

My checklist disappeared also but I did not receive an email about my FAFSA being processed , wondering if that’s a bad sign? ?

anyone else receive an email about their FAFSA?

@Sha_17 I wouldn't worry too much about that! Double check that you assigned NYU as the college/university on your FASFA. If it has been more than two weeks since you have completed your FASFA send an email to NYU's Financial Aid department.

just got my NYU ID
