As for the commute, I live in Brooklyn and its really not that bad. I know people who live on the South Shore of Staten Island and it sometimes takes them the same time to get to campus as it does for me coming from Brooklyn. It all depends on the direction of traffic that day, as well as the times you're going to campus of course. So far, we have had Zoom lectures, but all clinicals in person. For me, the zoom lectures aren't that bad, and I personally don't mind being in class from home and getting to stay in my sweats LOL. As far as tuition, everyone's financial situation is different, so I can't say since it depends on what you're eligible for. All of us took out private loans, but you also get direct subsidized and unsubdisized federal loans (financial aid will walk you through everything, and I found them to be very helpful). As for the hardest thing so far, it is really all about time management. There are some people that kept their jobs and worked full time, and part time through this program, and some that don't and just solely focus on school. I really believe that when it comes to making that decision you need to know what kind of student you are and how much you can handle and juggle at once. Hope this helps! ?

I am currently halfway through my second semester, so far I really like the program and I think the staff/professors have worked really hard to ensure we are getting the best possible experience given the circumstances with CoVid. It is definitely not 7 days a week with classes, and we have not had any clinicals on the weekends (at least not yet). But it will feel like 10 days a week with the workload. Accelerated nursing programs are no joke, and you will work your butt off. It is definitely VERY demanding, and time consuming but feasible. If you really truly want to do this and are passionate about it, you WILL do it!

Sadly, I’ve given up on NYU. They are painfully slow. I accepted a seat at Wagner already. Good luck to those still waiting, and CONGRATS to those who already got accepted! So now a spot will open IF I do get in since I’ll have to deny.

Hi, CONGRATS! Glad they are still conducting interviews. I had mine in early March in person before the pandemic peaked and I remember it being very relaxed, and comfortable. A few things I remember is they asked about my previous experience, jobs, strengths, how would you handle a difficult or stressful situation? what made you choose nursing? Stuff like that. I took mine awhile back so I’m up to date. I would suggest buying the ATI practice tests through the website. It is very helpful. You already got accepted though, correct? Are you part of our FB group?
