  1. As for the commute, I live in Brooklyn and its really not that bad. I know people who live on the South Shore of Staten Island and it sometimes takes them the same time to get to campus as it does for me coming from Brooklyn. It all depends on the direction of traffic that day, as well as the times you're going to campus of course. So far, we have had Zoom lectures, but all clinicals in person. For me, the zoom lectures aren't that bad, and I personally don't mind being in class from home and getting to stay in my sweats LOL. As far as tuition, everyone's financial situation is different, so I can't say since it depends on what you're eligible for. All of us took out private loans, but you also get direct subsidized and unsubdisized federal loans (financial aid will walk you through everything, and I found them to be very helpful). As for the hardest thing so far, it is really all about time management. There are some people that kept their jobs and worked full time, and part time through this program, and some that don't and just solely focus on school. I really believe that when it comes to making that decision you need to know what kind of student you are and how much you can handle and juggle at once. Hope this helps! ?
  2. I am currently halfway through my second semester, so far I really like the program and I think the staff/professors have worked really hard to ensure we are getting the best possible experience given the circumstances with CoVid. It is definitely not 7 days a week with classes, and we have not had any clinicals on the weekends (at least not yet). But it will feel like 10 days a week with the workload. Accelerated nursing programs are no joke, and you will work your butt off. It is definitely VERY demanding, and time consuming but feasible. If you really truly want to do this and are passionate about it, you WILL do it!
  3. Hey guys. Current Wagner student here :) Congrats on all those who got accepted, and deep breaths for those still waiting. I was in your exact position last year so I know how grueling the wait can be. I came on here in hopes to be a guide for those just starting out, and happy to answer any questions you may have about the school/program! I will do my best to respond as timely as possible <3
  4. Okay was not aware, thank you for letting me know .
  5. Hey! As far as we know the first week is remote and the following week we are on campus but no one can come on until we do a coVid test. We are all on a group me chat, do you want the link?
  6. Hi Chelse. I haven’t heard anything either. Where were you planning to commute from? If you have facebook, feel free to join the group.
  7. Seems were all in the same boat and today is their waitlist email day. LOL I got the same email. I will be denying as I accepted a seat elsewhere. Good luck everyone! Hoping that by me saying no, it will open a door for someone else. ??
  8. CONGRATS! Did you want to join the FB group now that you’ve accepted a seat?
  9. I haven't heard anything yet whether or not classes will be remote.
  10. Sadly, I’ve given up on NYU. They are painfully slow. I accepted a seat at Wagner already. Good luck to those still waiting, and CONGRATS to those who already got accepted! So now a spot will open IF I do get in since I’ll have to deny.
  11. CONGRATS everyone! @Stephanie1003. They must have saw something in there that impressed them , because NYU is a reputable school. You probably had a killer personal statement ?? be proud! ??
  12. Hi, CONGRATS! Glad they are still conducting interviews. I had mine in early March in person before the pandemic peaked and I remember it being very relaxed, and comfortable. A few things I remember is they asked about my previous experience, jobs, strengths, how would you handle a difficult or stressful situation? what made you choose nursing? Stuff like that. Hope it helps. Good luck ?
  13. They will probably extend it , email Patricia or Lynne and ask. I’m sure they understand given the circumstances with everything , there will be delays. I paid my deposit too! Look forward to meeting. Here is our group if you want to join ? https://www.facebook.com/groups/552264175420256/?ref=share
  14. I took mine awhile back so I’m up to date. I would suggest buying the ATI practice tests through the website. It is very helpful. You already got accepted though, correct? Are you part of our FB group?
  15. Thank you! I will be attending Wagner.
  16. My portal looks the same also. I actually couldn’t wait since they are taking SO long , I submitted everything to NYU on Feb 29th. I didn’t want to risk losing my seat at another school, so I already accepted. I can’t help but still be curious if I will make NYU, but regardless, I can’t accept at this point anyway. They need to pick up the pace a bit LOL. I’m hoping if I do get in , and I decline that at least my seat can go to someone else who hasn’t been accepted anywhere else. It was a tough decision to make because it is after all NYU, and they are the BEST but I couldn’t chance it. Good luck everyone! We will be okay no matter what!! My fingers are crossed for the rest of you that have NYU as your top choice ??
  17. She is usually responsive. Everyone there that I have dealt with so far has been approachable, and nice. I am sure there is no harm in emailing. Good luck. I know the feeling. I was SOOO Ansy waiting ☺️
  18. Hi, maybe I’m misreading but did you say NYU is $42K???? Can’t be right.... if that’s the case it might have went to my top choice LOL
  19. I know right ... totally agree! Hoping by tomorrow. Friday’s seems to be the theme with updates
  20. @Nurse100298 this was in the acceptance package.
  21. Downstate has a great program. I couldn’t even apply because my TEAS scores weren’t high enough. CONGRATS, and good luck! ☺️
  22. @tropicalbreeze I’ll prob go with Wagner
  23. They honestly take too LONG to get these decisions out. Even before this pandemic, I know people found out quite late and by that time had already accepted a seat at another school. I heard back from all of the other schools I applied to with the exception of NYU. They must be flooded with applications, and really backed up. Wish everyone good luck who has NYU as their top choice!! ?
  24. @smarie0613 . I’m in Brooklyn Yes. Wagner is pricier than BI
  25. CONGRATS to everyone that got accepted! I got into Wagner and BI. I wanted both but didn’t think I’d make both. LOL . Not that I’m complaining by any means, it’s an honor! I honestly want Mt. Sinai more because it is cheaper and the clinicals are better BUT the commute is a HUGE deterrent for me. Would be close to 2 hours each way, and that area is a bit shady. I’m curious if everyone is accepting a seat or deterred by the new location at all? CONGRATS again everyone! We’ve all worked very hard to make it here! ?
