Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.

I applied to NYU about 2 weeks ago for Fall 2020. I wasn't able to submit before the priority date due to personal reasons. Will this affect my chances of getting in? If it does affect my chances, should I change it to Spring 2021? Btw, I have a GPA of 3.24 and over 2000 hours of clinical experience. Thank you!
I applied a couple days ago and my GPA is much lower than yours. Hopefully my essay and resume will help me get admitted. That's all I'm relying on at this point.
I'm still able to make updates to my application so I'm going to assume I'm not getting accepted today...LOL. Good luck to everyone else! Hoping some of you get some good news today!
what tabs do you see? Like update prerequisite etc? That ? Are they supposed to disappear? Do decisions go out today?
Yeah, the update prereqs, personal info update request, and application update request. I don't know for sure but it seems like in the past, on days people got decisions, they weren't able to update anything. And no clue on decisions. They typically go out Friday afternoons, but they might be waiting another week to give the people accepted last week their timeframe to accept/decline. Honestly don't know, though!

I see that too. and my checklist is still there. not sure if it’s too early since I submitted mine like 4 days ago.... I’m checking the portal like every hour
I’m planning to take my last pre-req this Summer so I put pending for the grade. do you think that will look bad on my app? if I finish the class this Summer (hopefully the virus goes away by that time), am I still considered for the accelerated program? I’ll finish all my pre-reqs before fall sem starts

@tropicalbreeze I confirmed with admissions before submitting my app and she said I took the wrong stats at my school so I have to retake it. As the Spring semester already started I wasn't able to register so she suggested to keep my May graduation as it is and then take the stats as non-degree in the first Summer session at any school. Trying to figure out where to take it now... But yes, taking the course in the Summer is totally fine.
