Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!
I know this is old news, but I'm a little pissed NYU gutted the entire waitlist. Their exact words were "we have decided to close the waitlist" because of enrollment numbers. So basically, some of us waited for more than half a year for NYU to still not be able to get themselves together. I mean I completely understand the implications of Coronavirus, but other schools managed to send out acceptances and denials on time.
Ahhhhh this is so frustrating. And, according to CommonApp, applications for the Spring 2021 cycle haven't even opened up yet.
If anyone makes a new thread for the 2021 cycle, please post it here so I get the notification. Thank you!

If their program started earlier in the year and they came out with decisions earlier in the year it would have been a tough choice. I will be turning my admission down and give someone else this great opportunity.
I am planning to apply next Spring/fall. If you don’t mind what’s the stats? And CONGRATS on your acceptance
Hey everyone! I am also applying to NYU ABSN(:
Does anyone have a FIRM answer to whether or not we manually input each course we have ever taken, or just the prerequisite courses? I ask because another program that I am applying to requires that each course ever taken be entered manually.
Also, are we limited to only two letters of recommendation? In the common app it gives you the option of submitting more.

I wouldn't stress too much about whether or not you will be penalized for putting in all of your classes. If you go to common app, and hit Program Materials, and then select Meyers College of Nursing 2nd Bachelor's Degree NYU (Spring) you'll see the section that says Prerequisites. That's where you link the specific pre-reqs that you will need for the program application. That's the information that will be transferred to your NYU portal (something you will get later on).
However, if you're still unsure, just call NYU admissions. It can't hurt.
In regards to the letter of reccs, click on this link and you'll see exactly what they're asking for: https://nursing.nyu.edu/academics/baccalaureate/accelerated-15-month?tgid=nyunursing-tabs-2391&tid=apply
Hi everyone, submitted my application on 9/2/2020!

Hey! I just saw your post. Yes, I did not have the best stats and so I was amazed when I got accepted. My overall GPA was a 2.97, Prereq GPA was about a 3.4, I was a medical scribe for 1 year and then a caregiver for 3 months before I applied. With this info, I think they really consider your essays. Please feel free to reply.
