I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions
You almost sound like I was lying about being informed over the phone. what the...
??? Excuse me. Who are you, and what are you referring to? I was told by THEM that they will not disclose anything over the phone. If they did in your case, then good for you (you are the outlier among us). I do not follow this threat on a daily basis, so if you posted something regarding phone decisions I did not read it and plus I am not interested in finding if people are telling the "truth" here.

I'm referring to you and how you CAPITALIZED and stated like your from the adcoms that they dont tell you over the phone. I know thats not usual, but it does happen. well, good luck.
no fighting! lol. good luck to both of you. is nyu #1 for both of you? or are ya'll waiting to hear from more schools?
I was gonna go to stony brook if they get a open spot for me, but NYU has always been a dream school and living in the city is too attractive to withdraw their admission i can't wait for the financial aid packet to come, so I can start applying for private loans
Maaaan, Congrats joenurse! I'm so anxious now! I work in Queens, but live in Long Island...I currently go to Stony Brook as an undergraduate , so I work in the morning, night classes around 5. On my way to school from Queens, I will always drop by my house just to check on the mailbox for news. I'm so scared now, because decisions are slowly rolling out and soon I'll be next to know...
1. I submitted my application 3 days before the March 1st deadline.2. They emailed me a form where I had to write down the prerequisites taken (with grades), and write down prerequisites in process (Spring & Summer). I did not have to submit midterm grades.
3. I do not have any healthcare experience at all, just a few volunteer hours for a hospital (which they didn't even verified). I have a BFA with a 3.18 GPA and a 4.0 GPA on my prerequisites. I am also 34 years old and as far as I know, colleges tend to like older people so this is another advantage I think I have.
Good luck!
Thanks JoeNurse2b!! Very helpful!
