NYU Accel. BSN Fall 2010

I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions

I know it probably doesn't mean much but I noticed my check for the application fee was only cashed this week. Made me think twice on whether they really put focus on the accelerated 2nd degree BS nursing apps although most of us submitted by the priority deadline. THen again, it was a check, so it could just mean they cashed them all at the same time...

I really hope end of april means April 19th is when we'll receive our mailed decisions :D

So u submitted your app by march 1 and they JUST cashed your check? Lol wow! I submitted mine online and it went through immediately. So I'm thinking that it's because you sent in a check... Probably took time to get there and get in the right hands before they cashed it. I'm along with you in hoping we hear sooner than later but I know it will probably be later lol.

If u get accepted into nyu..what would be the deposit amount? I guess after we get accepted we would sit with a financial aid officer and discuss loans and stuff right?

I submitted my application on March 31, 2010 and was sent my NET ID last week on Wednesday. I am soooooooo nervous :-( because they told us in the open house that we should wait until early early May to early June to receive notice of our acceptance.

oh wow so u were able to send ur application after the MArch 1 deadline? how come?

March 1 was the priority deadline. Supposedly if u apply by that deadline you get your decision sooner. However, April 1 was the final deadline that they would receive apps.

Yup, that's what it states on their website as well. All documents, including the application, must have be sent in by April 1st.

Hey all,

Let us know when anyone receives acceptance mailing. I'm hoping they will send decisions out by mid-April for those who were close to submitting around priorite deadline. Thanks!

Hint...Hint... They moved up my application and got reviewed because I told them that I was accepted by another college and needed to send a deposit to reserve a space. I told them that NYU was my first option and I needed to know if I even had a chance before I would send in my deposit for the other school. Call them and asked if they could do the same for you BUT ONLY if you really have a deadline for the other college. Good luck!

When was your deadline date? I have to let schools know by may 1 and one called me today to see if I made a decision yet. I'm gonna call nyu tomorrow to see if they can tell me anything...
