I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions
I heard back from Stony and Downstate. I was rejected to the both of them, I don't nkow why for Stony, as for Downstate, I never took a microbio. lab. I was extremely disappointed and wanted to kill myself...
No worries! There's so many programs out there for you to apply to. There might even be some schools accepting apps after the deadline but hang in there! We'll all get in somewhere...

Don't worry fireflies! I know it sucks when you don't get something you really want, but things will be okay.
This wait is driving me crazy. I've had near heart attacks the last two times I checked the mail because there were big white envelopes, but they were both for my boyfriend! It took almost 5 minutes for my pulse to recover.
Can someone make sure they post once they receive an acceptance in the mail? Maybe then my anxiety level can go down a little...
I finally got an e-mail back from the Associate Director of admission (after e-mailing her 2 weeks ago!!) and she said.."we hope to have decisions out by early May-- thanks for your patience!"
Awww, and I thought we had applied "early" lols. The wait is killing me too and I really hate just not knowing. I've been waitlisted by Georgetown and I won't really find out anything else until June. If were't not going to hear back until early May, I guess we'll just have to hope that April flies by. But seriously, I'm very glad that I'm not the only one going this. It's great to be in a place where everybody else knows what it's like!
Good luck! Have a huge exam tomorrow and my teacher, albeit intelligent and funny, blows at teaching :-(
Hi ElleNY and Genui9nine!
I have a quick question for you regarding pre-reqs: Are you taking them at NYU? And if you are, are you registered as a non-matriculated student? Just asking because I wanted start taking some classes this summer (A&P, nutrition, etc) and I'm currently at NYU McGhee but they don't have any science courses I can take. So I thought maybe I could register at the college of nursing as non-matriculated and start taking some courses. If you're non-matric was it difficult to sign up for the courses? I know that they give preference to matriculated students first.
Thank you so much and I wish you the best of luck on your exams and application process! :)
