I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions
Hey all,Just wanted to be the first to post that I was rejected officially a few weeks ago via e-mail. I e-mailed my admissions counselor directly and she replied within a few days that I was not offerred admission. However, in light of this news I wanted to share an important piece of information that I think most you will find interesting -- THERE ARE 5,300 APPLICANTS THIS YEAR, MAKING IT THE MOST COMPETITIVE YEAR IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSITY! This is what it stated in my official letter.
SO, a big hand to those who got accepted!
And for those still waiting I wish you all the best!!
hmm.... 5300 applicants??? Pretty surprising... my gpa wasn't the best and I didn't recieve stellar grades on my prerequisite... maybe it was my letter of recommendation that tremendously helped me. My essays weren't great either because I did it in one day... and I'm no writer. I know positions are opening up because students are declining, such as myself... For those who are still waiting to hear or looking to apply for other school don't loose hope. Even with bad grades (GPA ~3.0) I was accepted to a couple other schools as well. I think I've been VERY fortunate because I've decline an interview for another program and two other nursing schools (NYU included... would've been nice but just too expensive). Good luck!
Hello Everyone!
I was wondering if you would be able to share your opinions with me. I have been accepted to NYUS fall 2010 accelerated program and also to NJCU ( New Jersey City University). Obviously, there is a big price difference.- 30,000 to be exact. Do you think it is worth for me to spend that extra 30K for the name. I plan to do my masters soons after for CRNA. The only thing stopping me is the money. I have no idea how the program is like at nyu so any feedback would be great.
Thanks!
After the longest wait ever, i received my letter, i didn't get in; I'm actually getting over the rejection pretty quickly. I'll be attending CNR and not having to end up with as much loans. Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear.
When one door closes, another open....so to anyone who really wanted to get in, but didn't, don't be too devastated i'm sure it will all work out great in the end!!!
