I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions
So the acceptance rate is less than 5%? I think that's worse chances then regular Harvard undergrad..***!!! ;-)
If the numbers are as stated on the letter (5,300 applicants) are based solely on the College of Nursing, and there are 150 to 200 accepted, then that means the acceptance rate is only 2.83% to 3.77% this semester... that just doesn't make sense..

That is absolutely insane. Now I'm freaked out, I think my chances went from slim to none. But I guess considering I didn't get anything yet I should stay positive. They told me I should hear in about 2 weeks, I wish I applied to more schools. This is becoming a nightmare!
I've been accepted to Villanova's Alternate Sequence program (wish I applied earlier for the shorter one but at least it's something) and I'm still waiting to hear back on other schools but I'm confident I'll be accepted somewhere soon. Although, it was definitely saddening hearing the bad news it was probably for the best. I just cannot believe there were 5,300 of us calling and e-mailing and applying to this program of only 100-150 or so spots! And that's transfer AND 2nd degree applicants. As much as I wanted to live the dream of going to NYU and living in NYC it really seems that this worked out for the best. Plus I'll luck out on cheaper cost of living too
I was also accepted to Villanova's Alternate Sequence Program, and I am really happy about it (I grew up in that area) but I am so frustrated that I haven't heard from NYU. At this point I am just thankful that I am into a program, but I'd like to know about NYU either way.. especially because I am moving from California and need to figure out my plans! But I do think that it all will work out the way it is supposed to...
I'm pretty sure the college of nursing had 5300 applicants because on my friends acceptance letter it said she was accepted to the college of nursing out of 5300 applicants. However, all 5,300 are NOT for the accelerated program because she applied for the regular program but she has all pre-reqs completed.
hey guys, i also called today and they said my app. is still in review :x uhg.. they said i will hear within two weeks, but i've been hearing this for a month already!
They really have been saying that for a while. When I called over two weeks ago they said if I don't hear by the 15th of may to give them a call. Of course nothing comes in the mail, so I called on the 17th only to be told the same thing they're telling everyone...you're application is still under review you should hear in two weeks. The fact that I submitted my app since feb 9th has absolutely no value. The whole march 1st prority deadline is crap. Its so aggravating. Like honestly just make a decision already!!
Yeah, the exact same thing happen to me. I also sent my app before the deadline and I'm still waiting. Honestly, I don't even care anymore I just want to know. I called and they said its been reviewed and I'm going to get it this week :x lol Good Luck on us ever receiving it! & guys is it true that if the netid doesn't work, you weren't accepted?
