I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions

I submitted my application for the fall a couple weeks ago. I spoke with an admissions rep and she basically told me I could submit it but it would not be reviewed until after the deadline (March 1st) with all the other applicants. I just wanted to get it out of the way.

i am in the same boat. I already submitted my application even though it won't get reviewed until after the deadline because i'm applying to so many schools and wanted to get it out of the way. I have the take the GRE for a few of the other schools I applied to, but I wasn't planning on sending my GRE scores to NYU.

I'm planning on applying as well. Only thing that worries me is the extravagant costs associated with the program. I already have loans under my belt for my previous bachelors...Also, I feel like I don't have a shot at getting in. I have a 3.18 undergrad, but a 4.0 pre-req gpa. Hopefully that helps some.
yeah the cost worries me too because i have loans from my earlier bachelors as well... but most programs like this cost a pretty penny and I knew that while applying. NYU is my #1 choice and at this point i'm just trying to get accepted. if that happens then we'll just go from there and see what happens.

When you guys did your app., did you answer all of the essay questions or just "D"? Thanks!!
iheartnyc,
We have to do all the short essay questions (famous new yorker, 2050 movie, poem, what led you to apply to NYU) and ALSO the 400-500 word essay question "D". Though that seems like alot, they only give you a little space for the short answer questions... so at least they don't have to be long lol.
Hope that helps!

Thanks! I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks so much for getting back to me. Although, now I'm wondering why they yold everyone at the Nov. 18th Open House to only answer "d."
Does anyone happen to know when the next open house is? I emailed them
and no one ever responded. I plan to call Monday, just wondering if anyone knew.
Iheartnyc, I went by what the website
says... It said to do that. I didn't actually
talk to anyone. I guess call to make sure?

i am interesting NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I got my degree outside of the Usa. What should I do? how much this program cost?
Thanks for getting back to me Genu9ine! I'm not sure about the next open house but can't imagine I'd be able to make it up there before the March 1st application deadline. (I'm NOWHERE close to NY.) So, guess I'll be calling too. I'll let you know what I hear. Please keep me in the loop as well! Thanks!!!
ps--I've noticed a couple people mention that they are starting the program in Fall 2010. I'm guessing that they are currently students @ NYU and that they may have a different app process or something, but havent heard back from the posters when I've inquired. Any thoughts on this?
