I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions
Hey guys,
I have a question for all. I know the majority of you are accelerated applicants. You guys had to apply as a tranfer student though right? I am asking this because I applied as a regular transfer student, and not the accelerated program. I applied way before the priority deadline and still no answer. So basically we are all in the same applicant pool right???

I am a regular transfer too. However, I attended an open house and we were told there are separate pools for freshman, normal transfer, and accelerated applicants. Also, she told us that is we were to apply as a normal transfer, but we also qualify as an accelerated student, they will automatically bump our application into the accelerated program.
thank you! i applied for the accelerated program. when i went to the information session they said the way it works is about 150 total accepted and then out of that about 120 are accelerated and the rest will be traditional transfers and freshman. i was running a little behind on getting my application in though- i think it was the second week in march when i had everything in. so i really can't complain about waiting very long for a response lol... but i hope you guys hear soon! good luck!
Wow, now i'm scared... She gave us the impression that roughly 200-250 students would get into the program.. Also, she did tell us that out all of the freshman students that apply, about 15% of them get accepted. And, out of all the Transfer students that apply, fewer than 10% get accepted.

NYnurse86, you had gotten your initial acceptance over the phone, right?
