I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions
I received my acceptance letter to the accelerated program today! :dncgbby: i'll definitely be attending come hell, high water, and tons of loans lol! i'm so excited, i haven't even read all the sheets that came in the folder...my heart is pounding lol. good luck to everyone waiting!!!
Woooohooooooo! Congrats! I really hope I get in... If not, I am going to hate myself :-(. I think the reason you received an early response is because you were on the waiting list, correct?
is adelphis program in nyc? I applied to liu? what were ur credentials? I got denied. was the application process just application and grades sent to the undergrad as transfer and then if u got accepted u would be sent to the nursing department? i think i didnt even get into liu the main school...i hope u understand this question. i am so tired prob dont make sense

My overall GPA, as of now, is 3.48 and I am currently taking A & P II and Microbiology. I did not put every single class I have taken in the school because I have over 74 credits right now and I am in a community college. By the end of this semester I should have 86 credits (I only needed 65 to get my degree here).
But, I am also the President for the photography club at my school. I was the Vice President for a year. And I also hold a seat in the student senate. I was a secretary for the Chinese Culture club in my school as well, and was the lead photographer for the school's newspaper.. I don't know if that even matters when I apply to a nursing program but I hope NYU takes it into account...
hey guys.. so a couple of people asked for my background. i'm graduating next month with a degree in biology and i have a 3.8 ...i've sacrificed a lotttt of fun for that, so i'm just glad it paid off. as far as volunteering, i didn't really have much just a few hours helping out at a clinic.
congrats to everyone else who got accepted! has anyone decided for sure that they'll be attending? i'll definitely be there, nyu was the only school i even applied to because i had my heart so set lol
jason-waiting list? no, i wasn't. i'm not sure why i heard back so early. maybe it has to do with the fact that my application was complete in December? i don't know though! lol. but i'm happy nonetheless :)
Lol, that might explain it then.. I didn't send my application in until March 31st, and April 1st was the deadline lol. It took me about a month to complete it. I submitted 3 recommendation letters too..
Greetings,CONGRATS TO THOSE WHO GOT ACCEPTED. SO FOR THE REST OF US STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH AN INSIGHT AS TO WHAT YOUR GPA IS, IF YOU APPLIED AS A TRADITIONAL TRANSFER OR ACCELERATED APPLICANT, AND WHEN DID YOU APPLY... THANKS!!!
So I wouldn't consider myself a shoe in by my own standards lol. I had an overall gpa of 3.3 at my previous undergrad. i graduated with a major in biology, and i was in the honors program. graduated last may. my pre-req (some of which were taken at a community college) gpa is a 3.8 though. I have a lot of volunteer experience in general and in the health care field, did a summer program in nyc (because i was originally pre-med), and i currently work at a doctor's office right now. i'd like to think that getting accepted had something to do with my essays...at least, i hope so! i spent ALOT of time on them (even the short essays). I probably spent way more time on them than i should have. But who knows! i think their application was well rounded and i'm thinking they really got a sense of who I am.
good luck to all those still waiting to hear! i'll definitely be attending

i submitted 3 too! i was wondering if i was the only 1 who did that. i'm pretty sure they probably threw 1 away lol.

Maybe I should have submitted 3 applications and not just 3 recommendation letters lol. They would have been like "hmm this person's not good enough for the program : "REJECTED!" then they look at another one and say "Wow this person has some really good qualities. We could use a guy like him!: "ACCEPTED!" lol
edit: but I know that would only work in my own utopia lol
hey court for ur BS r u getting ur degree in a nyc school? and Jason.. for the adelphi program is it only for people who dont have a bachelor's degree? i think thats why i didnt apply. and i think its a 3 year program is that so? i am interested in accelerated but u r doing traditional right? thanks for listing ur grades... lol but i see ull be transferring (good luck to u)!!!
