NYU Accel. BSN Fall 2010

Published

I just started my application for NYU's ABSN program for Fall 2010. I heard they might not even be accepting applications for fall yet, though, since the spring deadline was only about a week ago. Is anyone else applying here for fall? Also, does anyone know what their average GPA for accepted students is? Would it help to submit my GRE scores even though they don't require it? Sorry I know its a lot of questions but I'm already nervous for admissions

good luck joenurse. will u dorm in miami?

My netID is working, so maybe there is some truth that if you were accepted you can then access your netId.:uhoh3:

Not at all. If I decide to go there, I will be getting my own apartment. I can't imagine trying to study for an exam while kids are playing next door....no ofense.... LOL!!.....Seriously, I did the whole dorm thing during my first bachelor about 13 years ago, so been there done that.

it is taking every ounce of restraint to stop myself from calling them! i'm going nuts.. if only we had a more definitive decision deadline.. i can't stand the thought of waiting another month! i'm obsessing :)

i agree completely! i have been accepted to 2 other schools and I have to have an enrollment deposit in by may 1 (same date for both schools)... so i hope we hear BEFORE may for my sake lol. i'm really just waiting to hear from nyu because if i get accepted, i'm putting down the deposit. if i don't, i hope they let me know i'm rejected early enough for me to pay on one of the other 2 or i'll have to ask for an extension :uhoh3:

they said that if u applied by march 1 that they were going to try to get out a decision earlier... i guess alot of people applied by then lol.

Genu9ine,

so exciting that you have 2 acceptances!! but.. i totally understand b/c nyu is my first choice too and i just can't imagine being anywhere else. i'm sure nyu will work with you to get an answer before may 1, considering your situation? a credible source told me that we won't hear back until end of april, early may at the earliest :( so maybe you could call back closer to the end of the month??

Hey guys, I was told that at NYU, your GPA starts from scratch..

This is really good news for me because I want to participate in their externship program which requires 3.5 GPA, and my cumulative is 3.4 right now.. It would've been almost impossible to pull it up to 3.5 in one semester. BUT i feel like it's too good to be true....can any current students fill me in on this one?

I'm obsessing too, haha. I actually decided to give it one more shot and call them to see if I could get a more definitive deadline and all I got was mid-April. The student ambassador told me that the undergraduates would hear back by April 9th at the latest but since we applied as transfers, we were on a totally different timeline. I keep on checking my mail but at this point, I feel like I'm going to age about 10 years or so waiting, lols. I'm definitely going crazy but we can all go crazy together! :lol2:

Congratulations to those who already got accepted!

the ambassador lady told me to "sit tight and hang in there." i wish she understood what we are going through

omg April 9th??/? That's today!!! I checked older threads and I saw how some applicants received their letters near the end of May and they applied just as early as us.

I was told that April 9th was the day for freshman. Their letters were mailed April 1 and April 9th is the day they should hear by.

So...that means we still don't have a definite response date yet...bummer..........................................................................
