Hey, this is super duper early but I figured we could get some questions, fears, or concerns talked through until March 1, 2021, for priority or April 1, 2021, for the regular decision to NYU's ABSN 15 month program for non-nurses. Please don't be afraid, Please share stats if you are comfortable doing so. It really does help cohorts after us figure out strengths and weaknesses to be better applicants. Hey, after all, It's all about helping each other out at the end of the day, right! Don't be shy, talk about where you're from and things you may be worried about for the application process. As well as other schools you might be applying for!

They tweeted that ALL decisions for ALL campuses will be available on March 31st. However this specific program might be a little different. So I guess next week might be the week for some!

I was not going to reapply and went ahead and applied to a number of other schools. But with the deadline approaching for nyu's fall program, I figured why not give it another shot. I logged into commonapp, tried to 'add a program' but it is telling me I already paid and applied to this program. How do I go about this if anyone knows? Tried to reach the nursing dept. at nyu, left a vm. Would appreciate any help!

Hi! I just did this bc I was waitlisted last time; I sent an email to the admissions address and they sent me a ree-application form. It was very easy and you can upload new supporting documentation.

hey everyone! I just wanted to say I applied for fall 2020 (so I applied last year) and did not receive a response from NYU until June/July despite applying in like September LOL !! and if you check in last year’s ABSN thread for nyu, people were receiving decisions well into the Summer since nyu DOES do rolling admissions!!
I also used to work in admissions for NYU and one of the admissions officers let me know that they generally don’t even start reviewing until Spring-ish although I’m sure this deadline is way different bc of COVID and lack of in person staffing
I applied for the program earlier this month just after the priority deadline. If I applied on March 4th and all my application material have been ready since then, when do you think I should hear back?
1. I already submitted my application March 1. If I add a letter of recommendation to my application, does that affect the timeline its reviewed by?
2. Did anyone submit a personal letter of recommendation? I'm not super familiar with these...can these come from someone like a friend?

I'm not sure how that affects your application sorry. I think it would push it back but honestly I have no idea, just my opinion. I think in general schools don't value personal letters of recommendation highly, but yes they can come from a friend. NYU recommends professional and/or academic letters.
