  1. Hiii, Do you mind sharing how much the nursing scholarship is? I am so worried about paying for this, it is ALL coming from loans. thanks
  2. Hiii!! I basically did not have all A’s, I have a C and B’s. I don't know the exact reason for rejection, I knew I wasn’t a competitive candidate, I assumed because of my stats and/or inexperience in healthcare field. As mentioned the only thing that changed from last application was my personal statement (I changed it completely) and the fact that I have a year in clinical research and direct patient contact. My references came from all the same people.
  3. Hii everyone! I got in today! I submitted application on September 15th, my stats were not the best. Undergrad was 3.3 in public health and this was my second time applying to the program. My checklist never disappeared and I received an email around 2:30. I work at WCM in research, and that is the only thing that changed since last time I applied. I am nervous and excited, scared and happy! Congrats to everyone who was accepted and my deepest deepest thoughts for everyone who is still waiting for decision. You will get there somehow, one day! I only reapplied because my work bestie was applying and I had the tiniest bit of hope since I got rejected last year, but it all worked out. Bestest of luck to all!
  4. I just got my rejection! Good luck everyone.
  5. Yeah, this has not been the procedure/trend for accepted students. They accepted no one off their waitlist last Fall, and had them wait until mid July to tell them.
  6. Thanks for saying it, I didn’t want to be the one, but its not my first rodeo, and I feel like I know what is going to happen. While the facebook pge has 90 people on it, NYU cohorts for ABSN are usually double that. But we have to consider a good amount of people who don't use facebook.
  7. Same here. Hope dangling from a thread.
  8. Nothing! But the thread on facebook keeps getting larger, which makes me think that some are getting notifications and just not on this thread. Or whatever is happening, just nothing as far as rejections or waitlist yet? I haven’t heard of rejections at all.
  9. I didn’t even realize that was my case too. I have the second half of developmental psych to finish, but they haven’t reached out to ask me about it at all. I only noticed the grey box on top and “request to update application information” disappear. But now I noticed that I still have the prerequisite button there.
  10. Honestly guys, I think the majority of us would need loans. And to be completely honest it is probably my only consolation prize if I were to be rejected, which at this point I feel it is what is going to happen ?. The fact I will avoid being $100K in debt. Yes you make money as a nurse, but you can just as well with your bachelor’s, its a dream career for those of us who really want it, but I remember my mentor (a nurse practitioner) saying you just have to pretend you have no money for 2 yrs and pay it off as quick as possible.
  11. @tomatotin Why thank you for this. It's a really good perspective, I think if I were in your really cool position I would do the same. If I were to go private I think NYU would be top choice. The cost difference is not as drastic as if you were able to choose SUNY. I think either way you go you will do great, being able to go back and listen to lectures is definitely helpful, but you could also record. I heard Downstate will take as long as until August, sooooo on the down side for us who might get waitlisted I don’t think it would give us more chances by people giving up their seats at NYU for Downstate.
  12. I have a random question for those accepted to other programs. What are your thoughts? Is NYU first choice? Thanks!
  13. No. Did you? I have an optimistic feeling that we will hear something on Friday. Probably just giving admitted candidates time and narrowing it down. And then probably next Friday being the first week of June and Monday being a holiday, they might start giving rejections and waitlists. Just my thoughts
  14. I have to assume that no one on this forum has any changes for today. Last week by this time many had already seen changes on the portal and Albert. Unless we are not getting any news today. But then next week is a holiday. 86 people on facebook thread. Im starting to feel defeated but hoping for a miracle.
  15. I have not been accepted or rejected yet either and my Albert has had the financial aid as “received” for a while, but I cannot see the award or anything else. I did read many people mentioning that they received their financial aid package/award along with their acceptance letter.
