  1. Hey everyone, was just wondering if anyone received anything about the actual program like a handbook maybe? I was able to register for classes (traditional program not accelerated)... still currently taking the classes they made me retake right now and one more class to go in the second session of this Summer semester... regardless they allowed me to register for classes about a month ago so I am enrolled in the fall semester.. still seems kind of silly considering the fact that I was able to enroll but still have to retake courses this Summer (literally from a b- to a b....) Also was wondering if anyone was able to speak to anyone in regards to loans to get some more info.. this would be my first time taking out a loan for school and I'm quite confused. If anyone has some insight on who to contact for loan help/questions that would be great!
  2. I was told as well that its just gen bio 1 w/ lab!
  3. I believe when I applied back in February it was like that for me as well.. I submitted basic info and paid the fee and they sent me like a secondary app to input other info and uploads docs.. about tuition I was told the same for the traditional program (per year).. one thing about their program is that if you don’t meet the qualifications for the ABSN program they automatically see if you fall under the requirements for the traditional (2 year program). I originally applied to the ABSN program and was accepted for the traditional. But even then, weeks after acceptance they told me I have to retake classes that I received a b- in because they require a b... not sure if you read previous comments on here but seems like most people are in the same boat! And I believe that admission is rolling, when I spoke to admissions a while back via phone they told me they don’t have a specific number of seats.
  4. @AriP they finally got back to me about scheduling a registration appointment... was your appointment over the phone or zoom or was it in person? Just curious, they didn’t tell me much so I was just wondering how this would take place!
  5. Yes this is exactly what I did!! it does suck but it is what it is.. I reaaaaally hoped that they would make an exception but now seeing a lot of others are in the same boat, guess its something some of us are gonna have to push through!?
  6. I received an email last week about scheduling an appt to speak with an advisor, I replied but haven't heard back yet.. I did already enroll for the three courses that I have to take at a different school for this Summer but I hope I can still secure a schedule in the program for fall to avoid late registration.
  7. I tried to fight it, but they wouldn't budge... I totally respect and get that a requirement is a requirement, but what is a b- vs a b in stats taken FOUR years ago going to change??
  8. @AriP were you reached out to via email regarding scheduling an appointment to register for the fall and to reply with your current schedule?
  9. The same thing happened to me! Originally I was told that I only had to take gen Bio this Summer because I never took it to begin with. A few weeks went by and I was told I have to retake two other pre-reqs because I received a B- instead of a B which is what they require.. Kind of shocking that this was mentioned way later.
  10. @marilyn.tran92 I would definitely ask them about this though, being that you do have all of your pre reqs
  11. Congratulations!! ? :) since I was missing bio, the person I spoke to on the phone said I did have the option to basically request to be placed in the accelerated after I took gen bio this Summer, but If I understood correctly its not 100% guaranteed.. so I just agreed to do the traditional. She made a few good points regarding the difference, basically said traditional is obviously longer, 24 months compared to the 16(accelerated) but I was told it would be 6-7 classes a semester w the accelerated route which makes sense. So personally I just figured let me go with the slower pace since the option is available at this school. I’m pretty sure someone should be reaching out to you shortly! I received an email from the nursing department about a week after I was accepted followed by a phone call. But I’m still waiting for an email on how to proceed further.
  12. Thank you so much!! Best of luck to all and I will update you guys what I end up finding out more info if it is of any help!?
  13. Applied to the ABSN program! LOL very confusing did my best trying to explain this but yea that for sure didn’t sound right... hopefully with this one class that will change and I can be considered for the ABSN but we’ll see what they say.
  14. No I did not fill out the form. I was very confused by that email especially regarding the three choices, thinking that it was strictly a fall start! When I first spoke to admissions over a month ago on the phone to just make sure they had all the required documentation I submitted, whoever I spoke to did mention that they can automatically consider an applicant for the traditional program and the difference is 2 years instead of the 16 month ABSN... that it’s a 4 year program and you would enter the second part of it which is strictly the nursing classes part of it because you already have pre reqs and a bachelors degree. But today when I asked I was told that it would be 3 years ?‍♀️ So I really don’t know what to expect and definitely need to call back and ask this question again because it doesn’t seem right.?
