Chamberlain North Brunswick Fall 2021
Hi! I was able to transfer in 32 credits. I start Sept 2021 and my last session will be November 2023. I know the most you can cut the program length down to is 2 years and 2 months.

Congrats on your acceptance! Are you doing the day or weekend/evening program? And have you registered for your courses yet? I'm trying to connect with others at the same stage as me!

Chamberlain North Brunswick Fall 2021
No problem at all, glad I could help! I took my HESI on a Friday and got a call early the following week from my admissions advisor letting me know my score. I also set up a meeting with my student support advisor to review my expected financial costs and which of my credits transferred in. I was then told the committee had to review my transcripts (which took longer than initially anticipated). So I finally got the call with my acceptance about 2ish weeks after I took my HESI. I then met with my student advisor again to discuss my financial plan again and they showed me what my schedule would look like with my anticipated completion date after my academic credits were transferred in. She also helped me set up my student portal/email and the website to begin uploading all the necessary documents they require. I then set up my fingerprinting & drug test immediately after with the admissions advisor. Currently I'm working on uploading all of the documents onto the website and waiting to sign up for courses. I emailed my student advisor yesterday and she told me registration for the campus isn't open yet, but that she would update me. So in short, no I have no idea what the semester will look like! I'm in FB groups and some students say it's taking a while because they are trying to figure out if to hold courses online or in person? But I do know all general education requirements (eg. psych, sociology) are online regardless. I'm going to be in the evening/weekend program so I'm not sure how much my schedule will differ from day students but I believe on site classes would be maybe once or twice a week? I also live a bit of a distance from campus and have to coordinate with my work schedule as well so I understand it being a lot to consider! Unfortunately, I'm still in the dark about the timing and frequency of the courses, but when I find out I can definitely let you know! I'm trying to be as detailed as possible to help you and others because I know how limited the information is about Chamberlain and particularly this campus, so please don't hesitate to ask me anything else if you need to!

Chamberlain North Brunswick Fall 2021
Hi! Full transparency - I didn’t do well in undergrad. My GPA was 2.78. I retook a few classes that were prerequisites for some other nursing programs at my local community college and did well (all A’s) in those courses. I ended up being able to transfer in all of those credits at Chamberlain. THE HESI isn’t bad but I think I had a slight advantage having recently retaken a few science courses. But I still spent most of my time focusing on A&P, chem and bio. The math section is pretty straightforward; I highly recommend reviewing conversions, which I wasn’t super familiar with. And I didn’t spend much time studying grammar/reading comp. I also really really recommend the premium package from Union Test Prep. It’s $9 and they give you A LOT of practice tests and questions as well as explanations. In terms of scoring, I received a 96 but after Chamberlain’s weighting I ended up with a 92 I believe. I’m not sure how they weigh each section though. I totally agree that there is almost no information on Chamberlain from current or previous students. I was only recently accepted a few weeks ago, so I can totally relate to how you feel as I’m still figuring things out on my own more or less still. I was super worried about my low GPA but I think Chamberlain is willing to give students a second chance. I know this whole process is nerve wracking but hang in there, you got this! Good luck and let me know if I can be of any further help ?

I was actually just about to give you an update! Bob called me yesterday evening because he said the committee met earlier than expected and I was accepted! Next steps are picking my schedule and completing background/drug testing. Here’s hoping you hear something soon too & maybe we’ll be classmates!!

I took mine June 18! I think they're probably backed up with all of the applications. Bob did warn me that the application process would move slower the later you take your HESI. It's totally nerve racking to be in limbo!

So there was also a delay with them getting back to me about meeting with the advisor to discuss my transfer credits and financial aid options. I emailed Bob a few times and also called and left a voicemail and he got back to me on Thursday or Friday of last week saying they were really busy prepping for the semester, and that's when he set me up for the appointment yesterday. Honestly, the financial options discussion was kind of helpful because they give you a document with a breakdown of the total cost, how much federal aid you're eligible for (given you completed your FAFSA) and what the remaining cost to you would be. Then they discuss the options that are available to you to cover the remaining costs. It's nice to get an idea of your financial obligation beforehand even if we haven't been officially accepted. It kind of seems that as long as you're academically eligible, there's a pretty good chance you'll be accepted?? It kind of sucks that there is such minimal info anywhere about this campus. In your case though, I would suggest following up with admissions. Best of luck to both of us!!

Hi there! I was beginning to think I was the only applicant haha. I met with the student support advisor yesterday and was told the committee is convening today, so I should expect to hear back tomorrow whether I am accepted! I will update you regardless of what happens! What exactly have you been waiting for?
