NYS New Grads waiting on ATT

U.S.A. New York

Hello! I just graduated this December with my BSN from TN but I am originally from NYC so I have applied for my NYS license. Has anyone submitted their paperwork to the state and received an ATT? I was advised that all my paperwork was received as on Jan 13. I am wondering how long after that date should I expect my ATT? Then how long after taking the NCLEX do you get your license. Will NYC hospitals accept you with you license number from the BON or do I need to wait for the paper license in the mail?

I received my ATT much later than I liked. It took about 2 months since I applied and roughly a month after my school sent in my transcript and all required documents received. Then my license number was posted on the database online a little over 2 weeks after passing my NCLEX and got it in the mail a week after that.

Hi! I received my ATT about 3 weeks after NYSED received my transcripts sent from my nursing school (out of state from Georgia). I think it would have taken longer, but I called (and waited for almost an hour on hold) to get an update on my progress and the woman on the phone confirmed my file right there on the spot and I received my ATT 10 minutes later. I'd give this a try & just be super patient and nice with them! Hope this helps.

I did last Jan and I didn’t get my ATT until June. I went to school in Texas and applied in NY but I am from NY.

Have you gotten your ATT? If so,when did you get it after NYS received your transcripts ? Due to everything going on with Covid-19 NYS allowed my school out of state to email my transcripts. Has Anyone done the same? How long do you think this will take? I wonder if they are backed up due to Covid-19.

For new grad RN programs that offer a stipend in NY, do you know how much that might be?

I go to school in NY and our school tells us that (normally) most people who graduate in December get ATT in mid/late- February and those who graduate in May get ATT in late June/early July

It might be a little delayed if you're out of state

I have tried calling and got a hold of several people who told me they were just customer service and couldn't do anything to help.

Did you just call the normal customer service line or was there someone in particular you contacted?

Thanks!!

Because of Covid, for nursing licensing they want you to email them If you have questions or to get the status of your app instead of calling 6 weeks after you submitted your application. It took 7 weeks for me to get my ATT and I went to an out of state school. I emailed them at 6 weeks and they emailed me back a week later with an ATT. Good luck!

I graduated here in NY and applied in NY and still waiting. But I probably have a long while as I applied couple of weeks ago.

Hello All - Has anyone who's passed the NCLEX in NY experiencing a delay on licensing? Was wondering what the average wait time to see your license posted to the website.

It took six days from the day I took the NCLEX for my license to post. Then the following week I received the license in the mail. Good luck!
