   I’ve been on the waitlist since May and am just about to start in November. Things got really messed up for all of the May grads as far as hiring goes. I don’t know how many people NYU has hired since April, my guess would be not many.

   I was told they can't guarantee that you will be hired once the hiring freeze is over. Which I guess makes sense because it's not like you are signing an official offer letter on the waitlist. Hopefully many of us will get hired though!

   There is a hiring “wait list” type of thing. They couldn’t really offer a time line.

    I have tried calling and got a hold of several people who told me they were just customer service and couldn't do anything to help. Did you just call the normal customer service line or was there someone in particular you contacted? Thanks!!
