Hi Everyone this is my first post. I was lucky enough to score an interview with NYP where I met with a hiring manager as well as a director of a unit. I am wondering for those who have applied for RN positions how long did it take to hear back with a job offer? Or possibly a job denial. I would love to hear from those who have ben hired here as I am really anxious. Thank you.

I interviewed for a new grad RN position on 11/6, and then Monday 11/11 I was asked to submit references. First question: is this a good sign? Second question: do you know how long it takes to get a call back about the position after you submitted your references? I emailed the recruiter 11/18 because someone had reached out regarding interviewing for a different position at NYP, but she couldn’t move foward bc I was currently being considered for the original position. Anyway, the recruiter (who is so nice BTW) asked me which position I would prefer. I responded that I’d prefer the original position that I interviewed for, and that I really want to work at NYP Cornell, and I didn’t want to miss an opportunity. I haven’t heard back since. Any insight anyone has would be much appreciated. I’m still interviewing other places, but I’m hoping to get an answer so I can move forward.
Thank you for your advice:)
Hi guys,
just wanted to update that I was offered the position 3wks after my interview:).
Hi everyone!
I recently had an interview this Monday 12/9 with the nurse manager of the unit. I was wondering what the general consensus is for recruiters getting back to applicants with the decision? This was for Brooklyn Methodist. I already submitted all my references prior to the interview.

Hi everyone, I need help. I'm a fresh grad no experience. How can I apply for NYP? Do you have an email address of a recruiter? I would greatly appreciate it. Here's my email [email protected]. Been looking for grad nurse residency online but no luck yet ?

You have to apply through the careers website. They are very tight/strict about their process. If there is nothing on their site for residencies, it might mean there are none upcoming. I'd just apply for any staff nurse positions (that do not require prior experience), and eventually they may call you. It took a while for me to get a response (and I have a lot of experience).
I am starting my orientation next Monday. I'm not a staff nurse, but I assume day one is everyone together, to I'll listen for any intel on this.
Hi all!
just had my interview at Weil Cornell this past Friday, was wondering how long did it take for everyone to hear back with an offer any kind of response.
and second if you got an offer , did you get a whole breakdown with a pay and all benefits with it , so to help to make an inform decision. Thanks ?

I’m almost certain they would not ask for references unless they were interested in offering you a position. They are far to busy to ask for references unless they were considering you as a candidate.
