NYP Hiring Process

Updated:   Published

Hi Everyone this is my first post. I was lucky enough to score an interview with NYP where I met with a hiring manager as well as a director of a unit. I am wondering for those who have applied for RN positions how long did it take to hear back with a job offer? Or possibly a job denial. I would love to hear from those who have ben hired here as I am really anxious. Thank you.

I was told that I was offered the job but have not received an official email from the recruiter. I am a tad worried.

Told by they recruiter? If it’s not in writing, it’s not an offer. Did you contact the recruiter?

I did and the initial call post-reference submission was about the pay and benefits four days later (8/11). Ever since then, the nurse manager weent on sick leave, returned and the recruiter is “waiting on the okay to email me the official job offer”. I did not know unofficial job offers exist LOL

Hey guys

so I interviewed for a position at NYP with the NM and staff on 2/28. That same day, I had the phone conversation with HR and was asked to provide references and I was also given info on pay and benefits. It's going over a week now, and I haven't heard anything. I'm starting to get extremely nervous especially since I saw they reposted the position . My status remains assessment/reference but its really hard to remain hopeful. I've contacted the recruiter twice with no reply. Does this mean I didn't get the job?

Hi! Question, Im currently in this same exact situation, did they ever extend an offer?

Don't be nervous. They take a while, I used to work for NYP/Cornell & the hiring process did take a while. You did your part so just relax. Don't push them too much either.

Thank you! I was just a bit confused about the job being reposted that's all. Not sure if you have any experience with that if so any insight would be helpful!
