Hi Everyone this is my first post. I was lucky enough to score an interview with NYP where I met with a hiring manager as well as a director of a unit. I am wondering for those who have applied for RN positions how long did it take to hear back with a job offer? Or possibly a job denial. I would love to hear from those who have ben hired here as I am really anxious. Thank you.

I will keep you updated! This is so nerve wrecking. LOL

After interview, they will send you and email for your references. Then you will get a call if you’re hired. Good luck!
Okay, what about the hiring manager? Do you work for NYP?
Hi @alexis_brickcity ! I had an interview this past Tuesday. One with HR and another with the floor's patient care director. Each took 30 minutes and I'm still waiting to hear back (fingers crossed). Lmk how yours went!
Hey @kn0607. I had my interview this past Monday and yes I also did 2 in one day. 1st with the PCD which lasted about 20-25mins. And then maybe 5 mins after we finished I got an email asking for 5 references. Later on that day I did the HR interview. I think both interviews went really well, the HR lady told me that the PCD really liked me and so she sent me the form to put in my references. The PCD did tell me that it would take about 2-3weeks for her to make a decision and the HR lady said the entire hiring process takes about 6-8 weeks?. I REALLY hope I get this position! Which campus did you interview for?
@alexis_brickcity I didn't receive an email asking for my references, so I'm not too hopeful anymore ? I interviewed for the Weill Cornell campus, which did you interview for?
I interviewed with HR last Monday. She scheduled an interview with the PCD then sent a link for references. HR sent the reference link before my interview with the PCD so I don’t really think it means much in my case. I think it’s a way to move things along quickly in case you’re hired. My interview with the PCD was this past Friday. After my interview with her ended, she asked 2 of her nurses to meet with me and they basically interviewed me also. It was a very chilled vibe. PCD said I’d hear back “sooner than later” so fingers crossed. My references are complete just waiting to hear back. I’m a bit nervous because my coworker interviewed for the very same position a few months ago and didn’t receive an offer. This was at the Columbia campus btw.
@alexis_brickcity what unit or campus did you interview at?
@kn0607 don’t lose hope. Their hiring process can be slowww!
@kn0607 Don't worry too much about it , the PCD told me she was going to figure out a time for me to do the last interview w. 2 RNs on the floor and I haven't heard from them since I did my interview with HR. Like @JulesOb said this process can be LONG! And you interviewed for Cornell too? Yea just relax and give it some time. I interviewed at the Lower Manhattan Campus. I'm going to email the HR lady on Friday or next Monday if I don't hear anything by then, that would make it 2 whole weeks. You can also check your status on the website. Mine still says "Assessment/Reference".
@JulesOB I wish you nothing but GOOD LUCK!! Is Columbia a union campus? I interviewed at the Lower Manhattan Campus for their NICU ?
@alexis_brickcity thank you! Good luck to you as well! yes it’s a unionized hospital. I interviewed for one of their PICU units. My status is at “assessment/reference” also.
Did you guys send “thank you” emails afterwards? Don’t know if that’s a thing anymore or if it helps your chances. I feel like most mangers know if they’re going to hire you or not after an interview.

In my experience, HR will ask more behavioral questions like tell me about a time you went above and beyond, tell me about a time you has conflict with coworker and how you resolved it, etc. PCD asked questions about my experience and things relevant to the unit I applied to.
