Hi Everyone this is my first post. I was lucky enough to score an interview with NYP where I met with a hiring manager as well as a director of a unit. I am wondering for those who have applied for RN positions how long did it take to hear back with a job offer? Or possibly a job denial. I would love to hear from those who have ben hired here as I am really anxious. Thank you.
Sadly I did not get an offer, the PCD wanted someone with more experience (I'm a new grad). The talent acquisition rep said she's going to keep me updated on any other positions for new grads if they become available, so I think she wants to help me become part of the NYP team which is promising!

Awww , I’m sorry ! What position were you going for ? I would tell you to keep applying if you see a position open! Don’t wait for the talent rep to keep you updated because a lot of them just say that as a formality. I went on the NYP website last night and applied for two other positions because you never know. And plus if they keep seeing your name constantly popping up, I think they’ll be more inclined to give you another call! I remember I applied for 4 different positions for Morristown Medical(NJ) and the recruiter called said “I see you applied to a few positions which are your top 2” and I got interviews for both . So if you see a position you want and it doesn’t have any experience required , apply, don’t give up !

My interview was very brief. Overall, it was an hour between HR, PCD and charge nurse. And I got a call from HR about two weeks after with an offer. Please keep in mind this was pre-Covid. I heard they were moving a lot slower now. And there was a hiring freeze for a bit. This also do this weird thing where they post a position but it’s not technically available until the person leaves.

I applied for a neuro SDU position and I kept applying ever since. The talent rep actually arranged an interview for a medical SDU position before it was posted on the website (a good sign I think). I had the interview with the PCD on Monday, and think it went very well. These past few days have been so nerve-wracking and I'm praying for an email for references. Fingers crossed!!
Hey everyone,
So I applied online on 5/24. Im a new BSN grad. Got a call from HR 6/7 to schedule a callback from them on 6/10. Then HR scheduled NM interview on 6/15. Was asked for references on 6/22, then received an offer 6/24. Tentative start date is 08/09.
just adding time line on this thread for NYP.
Hey Everyone,
For those of you who accepted an offer at NYP, how soon did the coordinator contacted you for the onboarding process. My TA recruiter said she will be asking one of the HR coordinators to contact me for onboarding but have not received any email or calls yet. My tentative start is August 9.
New BSN Grad with zero experience
Timeline:
Applied online May 24
TA recruiter scheduled a phone interview June 10
Nurse Manager interview via Zoom June 15
Asked for References: June 22
Received and accepted offer verbally and online: June 24
Thank you.
Hi!
Here's my timeline for my most recent interview (third interview through NYP). I had my interview with the nurse recruiter at the end of April as a new grad (Dec 2020 graduate) with my BSN.
Still waiting to hear from HR concerning onboarding; very excited!! The nurse recruiter told me to have my vaccinations (flu & covid) ready and that the HR information will mostly be in-person (physical, ID picture, etc).
