I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

God bless!
Hi Starbin...Thanks a ton for ur reply...
Can u please explain the full forms of CVS, NYBON and NYSED
Thanks in advance...
Nimisha
Hi,
CVS is a trademark of CGFNS which means Credential Verification Service.
NYBON is New York State Board of Nursing
NYSED is New York State Education Department.
In Ny state the Board of Nursing is under the department of education --Office of the Professions (OP). So, your correspondence , application etc will go through NYSED. Hope it helps.
Good day everyone. To Suzanne, Rep, Nurse Dep, Dale, Lawrence or anyone who can give me advise and comments.
This pertains to the DS230 form that my agency requires me to fill up. I am currently working in Dubai and I'm worrying that any conflicting answers I write on the form may be a ground for visa denial.
In DS230 Part 1 sections 13 (Present Address), 20 (List all places you have lived... Begin with your present residence) and 22 (List below all employment for the last ten years), here is what they instructed me to write:
Section 13 - Address of my agency in Philippines.
Section 20 - My address here in Dubai
Section 22 - My employer and location in Dubai.
Common sense tells me that how could it be that I'm currently employed and residing in Dubai while my present address is listed as in the Philippines. Should I raise this concern to my US employer or just push through with the submission of my accomplished DS230 with the abovementioned entries?
Thanks in advance. Mabuhay!
Section 13, this can be your address in Dubai where you want to mail all your correspondense but I think your agent/agency will be the one who will received your packet 4. Unless you are the agent of choice then you will be the one who will receive it.
SEction 20, you need to write your address in Dubai,
Section 22, your employment in dubai.
Other than that, as Dale have said call the NVC for instruction.
Although you are working in Dubai, your consular processing is being done here in Manila. And at present you are staying in dubai because of your work. The US embassy will note that but as long you have the complete documetns at hand then it is not problem. Just my opinion.
It is up to you to decide.
Good luck!
Hi Suzanne and to everyone! Well, we had our medical exam in Manila last Jan.2 and our embassy interview last jan. 9. Thank you very much for those who shared their medical and embassy experiences, it helped us a lot. We received our visa this afternoon, Thanks God. Hope for those people who are waiting fot their turn, continue praying to HIM.I am hoping to hit Florida this March. (P1-Jan.5,2005 P4-Jan.9, 2006 Visa Issued -Jan.14 2006)
Can u pls help me out for my NCLEX, i know this is not the right thread for me to ask but i feel more comfortable sharing it here. Originally, i applied for BON California last Nov. 2004 and was made eligible April 2005. Then, i did not register yer with Pearson Vue coz of financial constraints. Then my agency informed me that my employer is in Ohio.During my preparations for the interview last month, the agency told me that i will be finally working in Florida. This is so confusing for me, considering that they are bugging me to register coz they wont allow me to go without the ATT. How many months will it take me to receive it if a register via online? Is it ok to pursue my licensure at BON -Ca when in fact i will be tied up in Florida for 2 years? Or will i get one from Florida also (eligibility, i mean). My agent told me to pursue Ca then when i pass NCLEX, apply for endorsement. I dont want to believe them anymore coz frankly, i got most accurate infos here than from them. I have to go by March, they want me to present to them my ATT before I leave, is it possible for me to have it by then if i register next week?
please help.........

At this point, just wait to take the exam for CA and then endorse. Double check with Florida, as you will probably still need to do a Credentials Eval since you are going the route of CA. If needed, I would get that done right way, so that you will not have much in the way of delays.
You will have no issues getting your ATT, just pay the fee to Pearson-Vue and it will be issued quite fast for you.

If you register online with pearson vue you can get your ATT via E-mail after 10 minutes or less and then give two weeks for the snail mail ATT to arrive.
I suggest you take the Exam in CABON and then endorse to Florida to SAVE TIME. Making a candidate eligle to sit for NCLEX takes time.

Hi everyone, I guess most of you are still waiting for a miracle by March since your cases were completed late last year. I was just wondering as to what miracle can I assume. My case is not complete yet. The last update I got from NVC when I called them was that my documents along with the benificiaries(i supposed that means my dependent) were received last January 5, 2006.
When do you think will my case be completed? Can I hope for a May Miracle? I'm planning to resign from my current job next month and start reviewing for NCLEX but I'm scared that my papers might take longer than May 06. I think for someone like me who is just coming back to nursing profession after 10 years needs a long preparation for NCLEX than most of you. I'm just scared that losing my job this early might be a wrong move. I'm caught in between. Any advise please?
