Hello to everybody!!! Just wanna share. First, my heartfelt thanks to Suzanne for all the advises and experiences you are sharing to this forum.BIG HELP FOR US. I would say ,I'm your classic example that followed most of your advises when i was starting my application. Right now , I'm working comfortably here in NY and i take control of everything about my employment. Its a nice feeling if no agency would take control of you. You can decide whatever you want to do in your life. Its good to be free!!! My advise to all aspiring nurses who want to work here. if you can have your way to do it on your own then thats the BEST THING to do. I did it on my own why can't you? I paid all the expenses for my applications , passed all the required exams and processed everything on my own. You may say its a case to case basis,you may say some nurses dont have the means to the things that i did.HEY!! THINK...We dreamed of coming here to have a better life and to earn more that you can possibly imagine. Why dont you INVEST for yourself ? i'm telling you , the return of investment would come in no time.Its worth trying than do nothing fellow Filipinos.

Hello everybody! I'm back. I'm already here in NY working as a ventilator nurse. it's really a one good experience and i like it! The working environment is nice not to mention the salary is comparable and the benefits are excellent because i am a member of a union (1199 SIEU). I'd like to thank you all for the advises and experiences you shared to me when i was just starting my application. Its time for me to share my expreriences in return . Point of entry is not a problem as long as all your documents are complete. To know more about the Immigration process and queries you have to attend a seminar at the Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO). It is a requirement of our government for first time immigrants like you. You can't go out of the country without their sticker in your passport and the immigration bureau at the airport will look at it. The seminar fee is P 250.00. Try calling these numbers ( Manila Office) 561-8321 ext. 101, 103,104,105. Good Luck !!!
