I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
for those filipino nurses waiting for there interview, sched for february is now out.check it out at [color=#003399]http://usembassy.state.gov/posts/rp1/wwwh3227.html ( for those who don't know about this) updated 1/12/2005..
thanks for the info.
this confirmed the fact that we are not included in the feb list.
for those who are scheduled next month, good luck and congratulations!
as for my family, here's looking forward to a march miracle!
Good day everyone.
To Suzanne, Rep, Nurse Dep, Dale, Lawrence or anyone who can give me advise and comments.
This pertains to the DS230 form that my agency requires me to fill up. I am currently working in Dubai and I’m worrying that any conflicting answers I write on the form may be a ground for visa denial.
In DS230 Part 1 sections 13 (Present Address), 20 (List all places you have lived… Begin with your present residence) and 22 (List below all employment for the last ten years), here is what they instructed me to write:
Section 13 – Address of my agency in Philippines.
Section 20 – My address here in Dubai
Section 22 – My employer and location in Dubai.
Common sense tells me that how could it be that I’m currently employed and residing in Dubai while my present address is listed as in the Philippines. Should I raise this concern to my US employer or just push through with the submission of my accomplished DS230 with the abovementioned entries?
Thanks in advance. Mabuhay!
\Sorry, but they are lying again. There is no such thing. You can get a green card with either passing NCLEX or the CGFNS exam. It is not treated any different. The Embassy is the one that issues you the Visa. And it is the same thing for those that pass either CGFNS or NCLEX. The actual green card will be sent to you in the US.
When did the Embassy tell you that you would have it? They should have said something to you.
Hi Suzane..
Thanks for the reply.. Actually me and my hubby got the visa stamped... I have passed all the exams including CGFNS long before... All i have to write is NCLEX RN. I am going to NewYork and there it is like that. One of my friend had already gone and she wrote her exam in US after joining the hospital.
This agency is saying that since I have not cleared RN I need to get my term permit and it is temp until i clear the exam...
If possible please enqure about it Suzane.... But 1 thing am sure that few of my close friends who had joined the same hospital had gone there and wrote the Nclex exams later.
Thanks in Advance Suzane...

count me in! i am also expecting for a march miracle. my case was completed on december 19,2005. so if i were to base it on the 8weeks of waiting, that would be about the 2nd week of march.. but if yours (nurse dep) was completed earlier than mine, then i guess i would have to wait for an april miracle. but i hopeit would be on march!! let's just keep our fingers crossed. who knows i might meet you at St. luke's or at the embassy! lol

Hi nimisha!
Did u already apply for CVS? Did you send the application to NYBON for Licensure by exam plus the limited permit? If it is so, you can work in NY on a temporary permit..BUT remember only after the NYSED has received your CVS report from CGFNS and determined you eligible for the exam. Before that you will not be issued a temporary permit which allows you to work without having passed NCLEX-RN. The permit is valid for one year. In the mean time You can take the exam .. again ,the permit is not renewable and If somebody fails the exam the permit will be void within 10 days. So, you should be aiming at taking the exam within a year , which I am sure you will pass.

I will go back later today. I have to check my copy of the ds-230 forms before I can react to your post. Just wait.

Dear Nina,
I think Section 13 will be used by the U.S. Embassy to mail all correspondence. I assume your agency want their name and address there so that they will be assured that they will be the one to hold your Packet 4 when it arrives. Where is your agency located and what is the first three letters of your NVC case number?
Although it is illogical that you are working presently in another country and your present address is also different from the place where you work and presently reside. Although it depends which embassy your documents will be processed. Becasue if you're planning to be interviewed for example in the Philippines your documents should be mailed and processed in the U.S. Embassy Manila, and they cannot send Packet 4 in Dubai. Simple as that.
My advise to you is to call the NVC and inquire about this matter, talk to your immigration lawyer (not your employer or agency staff). Lastly please wait for the reply of others...there maybe others like you on the same boat or who have experienced this kind of situation.

hi guys. i would like to share my case to you. i find the processing of my documents very fast.my documents were sent to USCIS on April 2005 ( texas service center )
notice of receipt: july 22, 2005
notice of approval: august 16, 2005
ds-230 received by NVC : october 31, 2005
NVC case completed: december 19, 2005
i am still waiting for my packet 4 or the appointment package as rep said so. when do you guys think shall i receive my packet 4? do you think i will already be interviewed by march 2006, and finally leave for the US by april?? i will take the nclex as soon as i get to the US..
Hi! Gwapo, I"ve been following your thread, and it seems that we have the
same trend (I hope so) based on our counting. Our documents were sent to USCIS last Oct. '05 (Nebraska Service Center)
The Notice of Receipt: December '05
Notice of Approval : ? Hoping on Jan.'06
Ds230 by NVC : ? Hoping on Mar.'06
NVC case completed : ? Hoping on May'06
..that If it runs the same trend with yours, possibly by August '06, We will be at the land of milk & honey (that if God permits us). I hpe & pray that Nbraska will not slow down otherwise, we have nothing to do but to abide on their time table. That's always the case anyway. God bless us all.
