I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Thank you so much suzanne and rep for elucidating me on these matters. Based on my understanding, (correct me if I'm wrong), I have to monitor now from time to time through my portfolio if USCIS has finally approved my I-140 & they will send me the bill, so upon payment, they send the ds230 & to be forwarded to NVC for approval. That's the time to gather all my original papers, and bring it during the interviews at the embassy. Is this true rep, my kababayan, that by August 2006, We will be in the US already? You know, Rep, I prefer to use "packets" which is our common by word coz' it clearly outlines the 4 stages if what is now the status of our case. By the way, how fast is Nebraska in terms of processing? Again, Thank you suzanne & rep for your outright response. Regards & God bless.
If your petition is approved and you move fast with the submission requirements, with in 12 m onths you can find yourself in the US.
Good day everyone. I need advise regarding my petition. I have an I-140 Notice of Approval dated November 18, 2005. Can you please give me a timeframe to which I should go back to the Philippines. I'm currently working at a hospital here in Dubai and I don't want to immediately head back home due to financial considerations since I'll be jobless or receive a meager salary ifever I work again at a hospital in the Philippines.
Thank you very much.:)

Usually after the approval, a month or so the visa fee bill is sent to the applicant, after the bill is paid, the applciant can expect the packet 3, ds-230 forms. After the applicant have sent the packet 3 back to NVC, process will usually takes between two to four months before a packet 4 is send.

When NVC received my packet 3, it took eleven weeks before they issued the packet 4.
hello, my case status seems facing obtacle in the new year. my priority date is 15,july,2005 and 1-140 approved on 8, November. however, i am still waiting for the fee bill from NVC 2 month later, i knew it normally takes one month, and when my lawyer asked NVC, they sent a update said the fee bill will be sent in the next 2-4 weeks. i wonder if anyone here go through the seem thing like me? does the fee bill really need two more month or is there any other reason?
Thanks Rep for the reply.
I have another inquiry. Are copies of documents for me and my dependents like Passport, Birth and Marriage Certificate, Police clearance etc. needed to be submitted together with DS230 to NVC? My agency is requiring that I submit those documents though I read from a Department of State Supplementary Form that specifically states " The application for visa application forms DS230 part 1 must be sent directly to NVC. All other documents will be required at the time of your visa interview".
I ask this since my husband in the Philippines is having a hard time securing passport for my two kids. The screener told him that only the mother may file an application on behalf of her kids. I am currently working in Dubai and it is not possible that I personally apply for their passports.

Yes, you need to submit your documents to gether with the ds-230 forms to the NVC otherwise if you only submit your ds-230 forms, NVC will not process that but instead will ask you to send the documetns and you iwll be wasting your time. I think the reason why you are encountering a problem with the passports of your children maybe that your husband has mentioned to them that you are the principal applicant. Anyway, that is just my ipinion, he can ask the DFA why.

My husband was told that there were many cases wherein in a separated parents the father has applied for a child's passport and then went abroad bringing along with him his child without the mother's knowledge and consent. He argued that what if its the other way around. It fell on deaf ears.
Anyway, good news is that my kids can now apply for passport coz the wife of my husband's cousin is working at DFA. We want to make it via the legal route but there were bureaucratic blockades so we'll now rely on "kakilala system" for my two kids to get passport.

Good luck then.
