I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Yes, they do. As far as I am aware NVC still generates and requests visa fee bills even during retrogression. This was atlest what happened on my case. It's after paying the bill and you go to the next step which is Ds 230 where the waiting game begins. Just pay the bill as soon as you receive the official request.

it depends, for several months NVC was not generating visa fee bill until there was a visa available for you and once paid they will ask for DS230. That is my experience as my PD is Aug 2006 and they have only just asked for DS230, not sure when my visa fee was paid but up until end of Jube NVC was saying no visas available for me
hello everyone. just like bettyboop, i did received a message from NVC that my case was completed last July 13 '07 and that I need to wait 8 weeks then will be notified again. Updated ds 230 and police clearance received last June 27 by NVC.
AT least my case is being processed and from what ms. suzanne had said about betty boop's case, then i will take it as a positive news.thanks ms suzanne...

Thanks for clearing that up Silverdragon. For Sabado's case he received an email whrein NVC requested visa fee bill. So in his case he should pay it up once he recieves the official bill or risk delaying his approval.
There are some recruiters who tell nurses that they cannot the bill bcoz of retro but well in fact NVC has alredy requested the bill and waiting for it. They say other reasons but the truth is they were just trying to limit their exposures. We see this is as another cause of avoidable delay.

Once requested, pay for it asap.
If NVC have requested visa fee bill payment then it should be paid without delay, So yes he should pay. Not sure why agencies are not paying bill when it is requested unless they really haven't got a job to put you into or they are waiting to do it as a bulk payment. Not fair on the nurses who are waiting. The way I understand it currently NVC are only asking for visa fee bill once there is a visa available

Keeping everything crossed 1 of the visa's what where recaptured was allocated to my case. Just playing the waiting game.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you, betty boop. I have a friend right now in Chennai whose PD is November 2005 and she is set for interview next week. I can almost imagine your interview letter in the UK post right now. You are well ahead of the pack. Mine Pd is October 2006 and case approval was late April 2007. Visa fee was requested exactly 1 ½ months after being transferred to NVC. I could say that my case is buried deep inside retrogression but still NVC requested the IV fee. I resign to the fact that I’m in for a long wait. Keep us posted.

Don't worry. There's a visa already reserved for you if NVC asked for your DS-230. Remember, they actually returned the DS-230 forms during retrogression while those whose I-140s that were approved weren't given visa fee bills during retrogression, so if NVC would be asking for the DS-230 forms back and are now sending visa fee bills means that that case is allowed to proceed.
My I-140 was approved on 13 November 2006 and my sister's was approved on 09 Feb. 2007. Both of us have PD of 29 September 2006. USCIS on their notice said our files were transferred to NVC.
Unfortunately we have any other information since then. We contacted our agent and they also informed us that they have not received any further information. Eventhough NVC started clearing backlog, we wonder why our cases are left behind.
We know that NVC has to issue Visa Fee bills and then we have to pay the bills and then they release packet 3 etc. How long all these process will take. Is there any way to contact NVC to track the status of our files. We have our USCIS receipt numbers only.
Do you have any suggestions. Can we expect our cases will be completed before the issuance of next batch of visas that is in coming October?
