Did Anyone Get Interview Done?
We are feeling for you, ambitious nurse. It seems like there are not anymore hard and fast rules concerning immigration now adays. Issuance of visas almost look arbitrary where we see those at back of the line getting visas first than you are. Supposedly when an interview was set, a visa number has been set aside for you. We have seen this exception as becoming the rule and now it's happening again. Nobody asked for July visa fiasco to happen. This might not have occurred if not for the flip-floppers own doing. Let's just pray and hope for the best.

Pretty Neirelle your situation is really difficult. Based on your PD, you are well ahead of the line. You still have the possibility that a visa number has been reserved for you but of course you will only know about that one has been reserved once you receive the packet 4. I have this co- worker whose PD is December 2005 and an interview has been set for next week. I pray that yours is on it's way now. Perhaps you could ask for more time for you to decide about the job abroad. You will never know.

Please read concerning July Bulletin
It's not a rumor. It's a fact.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you, betty boop. I have a friend right now in Chennai whose PD is November 2005 and she is set for interview next week. I can almost imagine your interview letter in the UK post right now. You are well ahead of the pack. Mine Pd is October 2006 and case approval was late April 2007. Visa fee was requested exactly 1 ½ months after being transferred to NVC. I could say that my case is buried deep inside retrogression but still NVC requested the IV fee. I resign to the fact that I’m in for a long wait. Keep us posted.

Thanks for clearing that up Silverdragon. For Sabado's case he received an email whrein NVC requested visa fee bill. So in his case he should pay it up once he recieves the official bill or risk delaying his approval. There are some recruiters who tell nurses that they cannot the bill bcoz of retro but well in fact NVC has alredy requested the bill and waiting for it. They say other reasons but the truth is they were just trying to limit their exposures. We see this is as another cause of avoidable delay. Once requested, pay for it asap.

Yes, they do. As far as I am aware NVC still generates and requests visa fee bills even during retrogression. This was atlest what happened on my case. It's after paying the bill and you go to the next step which is Ds 230 where the waiting game begins. Just pay the bill as soon as you receive the official request. Good luck.

Did Anyone Get Interview Done?
We may see actual interviews.... "AILA has reported a very interesting or confusing DOS LegalNet Office letter which one of the members received towards the fact that the consular posts had already been allocated their numbers for the month of July prior to EB visa numbers becoming unavailable on July 2 and that the posts may continue to use their July allocations of EB numbers, and continue to issue Immigrant Visas for the rest of this month, July, for those applicants who were scheduled for IV interviews in July." NVC Revised Visa Bulletin, What does it mean
About AMERICAN IMMIGRATION LAW FOUNDATION's lawsuit "AILF is considering filing a lawsuit in federal district court against the USCIS over its rejection of otherwise properly filed adjustment of status applications for the alleged reason that a visa was not available,........ We believe USCIS violated the law when it failed to apply the visa availability dates listed in the Visa Bulletin, as required by a federal regulation, and instead rejected properly filed adjustment applications............we will challenge the rejection of adjustment of status applications on this basis. We will ask the court to order USCIS to accept the rejected adjustment applications and treat them as being filed as of the date they originally would have been filed had USCIS not rejected them." see link for more reading: http://www.murthy.com/current485/VisaBulletinFAQ6-29-07.pdf

It can mean no adjusment of status petitions will be accepted at. All visa preference numbers will be posted only on mid september. Bad news to all, not only nurses.

Retrogression Is Not Over
Predicated lifting of visa numbers this July is short and temporry only. You wont be able to make it. Concentrate first passing your exams before anything else.

Suzanne There is no reason for you to be uptight on what Ma’am Marie had said. Her post was to clarify what respawn claimed. I don’t see any reasons for you to quote marie and say entirely different thing. It do not make sense at all. Her comments are welcome since this forum has been too hypercritical for a while. Just let fresh air come in.
