Confused about when my green card is coming
You said it all. You changed your address. I want to believe that's where the problem is. I don't think they automatically update your address when it is changed, It takes a little while. Just wait for them to fix they whole thing and then re-mail your card if you report you didn't get it after their "30 days wait" time. You can also call them and ask which address they mailed the card to but i'll think they may have also mailed it to the old address. You'll definitely get your card once it is approved. So you don't have nothing to worry about. All the best!

Confused about when my green card is coming
Mine was said to have been mailed on the 16th of July and i received it within 5days. This is so weired because then you don't actually know when to start counting. I would wait until 16th of August and if not received, I'll call then call them.Did you move? I'm not sure the Post office forward USCIS mails to moved addresses. Hope your address has not changed, if it was not delivered, they can return it and re-mail it again. So, I'll definitely call just to be sure my address is right in the first place. And like stated above, the main thing is that you have been approved. Congrats.

Are Visa screen still required for AOS application?
Thanks Ms Suzanne. Yes, she schooled here in the US. she just graduated in May, 2007. But do they have to re-apply when the application is returned (in october or whenever the bullent is current) or what? I hope they don't have to return to their country to reapply

Are Visa screen still required for AOS application?
Hi all, I have a friend who had just submitted their AOS (she and her husband and the children), however, she's been so worried as to whether visa screen are still required to file AOS. I know during my own time, they were needed but she said her attorney said they are no longer required while filing concurrently with I-140, I-485 and the EAD. And was told to send it in as soon as it is received. Are they safe? She keeps shaking like a leaf each day because of this as they do not want to be rejected. Yet, they had to turn their application in before July ending to avoid the fees and also when the numbers were current.Any thoughts? Thanks

how did you start petitioning process?
..whatever....

how did you start petitioning process?
It depends on individual hospital. For me, I made my investigation privately (that is, I went to some hospitals and asked their front desk receptionist or called some on the phone without actually revealing myself). I was praying they won't ask me anything about petitioning during the interview process and they never asked. I didn't bring it up either. I was only asked, "are you authorized to work in US" and I said yes.Shortly after I started, i went (about 2months after), I went ot their HR and enquired about it and they asked me to get an attorney and that i would be responsible for all the fees but that they would supply all the necessary document. And that was it. I got a very good immigration attorney and we started the process. On the other hand, I have a friend who just graduated. She went for an interview and they asked her if she is authorized to work in US and she said yes that she currently has an optional training authorization to work (for international students one yr after graduation) and is looking for "who to sponsor her". Do you know they didn't call her back even though she graduated with an excellent result and the fact that the hospital was activley looking for RNs at that point. So, for me, I won't mention that during the interview. They would think that once you get your papers, you move on to a better place and that you are not interested in working with them anyway but for who to petition for you. Just my two cents.

Hi all, i've been following most of the threads in this forum since retrogression started even though i was not really registered. Anyway. today, i just checked my case status and it showed this message below. Question is, does it mean case has been approved? For those that went thru AOS, pls help with this news. I'm sooooo happy. I and my husband has been waiting since october. Infact, our application were received (PD) on October 13th, 2006.We got our EAD November, 18,2006 and the I-140 approval on Jan 5th, 2007. I was even contemplating applying for a renewal EAD this month before they raise the fees when I suddenly saw this news. WOW! We were not called for interview or anything but all our paper work were in at the same time ..courtesy of the attorney. "The last processing action taken on your case Receipt Number: SRCXXXXXXXXXX Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS Current Status: Card production ordered.
