NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

Category : EX Schedule A

USCIS receipt : April 2004

Processing Center : Vermont

I-140 approved : October 2004

NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX

NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005

Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005

NVC case completed : May 16, 2005

Consular Interview : August 29, 2005

Visa received : ???

Date of entry in the US :???

GC receive : ????

I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.

God bless!

Hi All,

My I-140 was approved on 13 November 2006 and my sister's was approved on 09 Feb. 2007. Both of us have PD of 29 September 2006. USCIS on their notice said our files were transferred to NVC.

Unfortunately we have any other information since then. We contacted our agent and they also informed us that they have not received any further information. Eventhough NVC started clearing backlog, we wonder why our cases are left behind.

We know that NVC has to issue Visa Fee bills and then we have to pay the bills and then they release packet 3 etc. How long all these process will take. Is there any way to contact NVC to track the status of our files. We have our USCIS receipt numbers only.

Do you have any suggestions. Can we expect our cases will be completed before the issuance of next batch of visas that is in coming October?

Thank you

Alina Mathew

No I seriously doubt that you will get your cases completed before October. NVC I believe will only ask for visa fee bill once visas are available for you and then they will request DS230 (packet 3) With retrogression there is no telling what will happen and how long it will be. You can contact NVC by either email or automated service but you need to know either your reciept number for I140 or NVC number. If you have your reciept number for I140 NVC will give you your NVC number in their reply. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html

My PD is Aug 06 and NVC at the end of June asked for my documents and the fee was paid some time ago

Hi Silverdragon! We have the same PD, same status as yours....

I emailed NVC, asked them if they already received my updated ds230, they told me they still havent received the forms yet and i should wait 10-15 days for the forms to be matched to the case. This is frustrating,,,i sent my forms to my agency last week of june and my agency told me they sent the forms to the lawyer 1st week of July...

What could be causing the delay?

Did your forms have the bar code on them? If not, the attorney is going to need to prepare them. And it always takes about two weeks from the time that immigration receives the forms before they are posted to your account. It does not happen that day at all. Same thing as when you were submitting something to a BON or even CGFNS/ICHP for the VSC. Nothing ever happens instantly.

Hi guys i'd like to ask if automated response voice system of NVC really accurate? i called NVC a while ago and they have said that i was missing some documents and they already mailed it last october 17 2006..i emailed my attorney today regarding this but she hasnt reply yet..i was confused why my attorney didnt say anything to me about this missing stuff if it was mailed last october by NVC.:(

as far as I can tell they are as accurate as they can be. There will always be a few weeks delay from sending documents to account being updated

but i already send last year my documents like Ds 230,passport photos,NBI clearance, original birth certificate, and photocopy of my passport..did i miss something else?

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received documentation for this case. As soon as this file

has been reviewed, notification will be sent.

All correspondence concerning your petition has been sent to you in

care of your attorney of record. What does this mean? Is there a visa allotted for me? Can I expect progress on my

case and have an interview this year?

thanks

A lot of us here are in the same case as yours.... right now the game is called "waiting" . There is a big chance that a visa is already alloted for you. God Bless you and keep us posted!

Dear All,

Received a message from NVC that a number (MSTXXXXXXXX02)is alloted for me and the fee bill was generated on July 02, 2007 and forwarded to my agent. My PD is Sept. 29, 2006. Does this mean that a visa number is reserved for me? It is evident that NVC is still processing files. How long normally it takes to complete the NVC process ( from visa fee bill to Consulate).

Thanks

Alina Mathew
