i have two tattoos.... i large one on my lower back (butterflies) and one on my belly of baby feet prints (i had a miscarraige 2 yrs ago). they are always covered unless i am in a bathing suit. i also have my navel peirced and used to have my tongue but had to take it out when mom saw it (i was in high school.. not a good idea).

i'm planning on getting another one when i graduate nrsg school, i would like to get the rod of asclepius (the snake/stick in the middle of the EMS star of life) and i'm trying to come up with a way to combine it with some kind of nursing symbol like a lamp or something.. to symbolize that i am now a paramedic and a nurse.. im not very artistic though ;)

I have two...Canadian maple leaf on my left shoulder and the rod of ascepius (with one snake and two wings) on my right shoulder. Love them both, regret neither.

hey guys and gals, i'm back. i'm gonna be needing your advice on having a tattoo since this would be my first. i have loads of q's so please be patient with me, ok? nervous and excited at the same time. btw, thank you ms.akcarmean. take care.:dncgbby:

I have 4, and have an artist drawing a new one. My 1st one is on my lower back and it says Capricorn in Old English and stars around it. My 2nd one in on my right leg, on the outside, and it's a tribute to my father who passed away in 2003, it says ILM his name, the day he was born, the day he died, and angel wings. I also have 2 tribal/colorful butterflies on the back of my shoulders. And the one I have drawn is to incorporate my butterfly on my back left shoulder. It's dogwood branches & blooms, because that's what's on my fathers tombstone. It's going to be a kind of half sleeve, but can still be covered by any short sleeve shirt I wear.

tatoos are too permanent , and I know that I would get bored with them.

If they are in a hidden area on a women, they can be quite sexy, but when you age and the tatoo ages, rhy arnt so nice.:nono:

Specializes in corrections.

what if you dont get to be aged? i always think of that, what if i never get to be old and wrinkled, i would regret not having it done. like they say the only things i regret are the things i didnt do. Plus i probably wont care what people think about it in 50 years.:D
