Warning about The College Network and your personal information

Wow. Just wow. I just got a phone call from The College Network regarding my posts here at allnurses.com. Somehow they connected my name with my postings. I have no idea how they did that but I would guess they probably had a troll PMing with me at some point. They used my account information to then call me to discuss my postings about them. My understanding is that the contact information they have is for business purposes, not to call and harass people about their postings on an internet board. I think this is more than a little creepy and possibly illegal. I told the guy as much and said I would absolutely be posting the minute I hung up to let others know what happened. I'm going to have a chat with the BBB about this as well. So be forewarned, whether you decide to use them or not, if they have your personal information and you post on here about them they will probably use that information to call and talk to you about your postings. Creepy stalkers. :angryfire Big brother is watching. Stay the heck away from these people! :down::down:

The College Network is a true waste of money and everyone should know. They present what they offer in a way that is hard to reist. How could I have been so dumb to waste my money on them? :angryfire

Well, know we know that in addition to being a waste of money, they aren't exactly ethical with your personal information either.

Wow!:chair: That is crazy that they would go so far to sneak around on the board to get info! Sounds like they have a guilty conscience and don't want others to know that there are OTHER (and cheaper for that matter)routes to get through Excelsior! Keep us posted!!

I am totally expecting them to show up at my door next! What may appear to be a nice, clean cut group of Mormon missionaries or teenagers selling magazines could actually be TCN reps in disguise!! Be afraid, be very afraid!!!! Hold your babies tight lest they be lured into buying a $495 guide to 3rd grade or something!!! :coollook: "Psstt...hey kid...are you tired of reading ENTIRE textbooks and doing homework? Do you know there is a better way? I'll even throw in a set of Ginsu knives just for trying us out!"

LOL, this is totally funny to me, because I agree and I am aware of this. They have called me at least 3 times also after posting my disastification with TCN. Which... I am sure I'll get yet another call after they see this again. I gave them my opinon, the prices are absolutly RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!! I is more cost effective and more knowlege effective to get the approved recommended books through Excelsior. There modules don't have the information, they lack quality info. WE as nurses need. I wasted my $6,000 dollars and they just laugh behind our backs... hee hee, ha ha ha... we got her money.

I have the moudles, don't even use them. I just wished I knew about this site prior to signing that contract.

I am at work but I had to log in to respond. A co-worker of mine told me she was going to sign up with TCN today. I had to stop her in her tracks when she said it's better than Excelsior. Well, well, well....I had to sit her down and tell her the facts. Let's just say she won't be losing any money with TCN in the near future. Oh, did I say that....TCN are you going to call me next?????

Are you kidding me??? I can't believe they are stalking you. Its all true. They present themselves like they are a College when they are NOT! I have heard too many people tell me how they are going to TCN. Knowedge is power get the facts! They hate that people are figuring the whole overpriced module thing out. I will for as long as I have breath in my mouth tell people that TCN is a waste of good hard earned money and to go through Excelsior College directly.I guess business is bad and they have nothing else to do but harrass people. We are not slandering their name,we are just telling the truth. And we all know the saying "The truth shall set you free."
