I'm an ISFJ! Glad to see that nursing is a recommended occupation.

Wow, am I the only INTJ here? My numbers broke down as I (56), N (38), T (1), J (1).

My suggested careers were natural science, engineering, law, or library sciences. Nothing about nursing. LOL--oh well, I'm in nursing school and loving it (or in theory I'm loving it). Ha ha.

I have never formally taken the test, not sure where you take it or why. But looking at the list I would see me self as an ENFP. But I know if I took the test it would probaly show very different. Can anyone anwer the where and why for the test?

A lot of us have taken it during work- or school-related activities or seminars. I took it the first time as part of a training seminar for an extracurricular activity (a campus-based crisis hotline), then the second time as part of a supervisor training class for my last job before nursing. The hope is that it will help you understand more about yourself and how you relate to others. It is also frequently offered by college counseling/career centers to help students in making career or major decisions.

In addition to the paper-and-pencil versions offered in these settings, there are online links where you can take the MBTI.
