And what's the length of your shifts? How long of a commute is reasonable for you? What do you think of the coworkers who drive from farther away?

6 miles. Mon-Fri 9a-5:30pm. This is the farthest I have ever lived from my primary job. I think people who commute over an hour each way are nuts.

Then I'm nuts. But there are such few jobs in my area I'm lucky to have a job period.

About fifteen miles and 20 minutes.
I was offered a job on nights but it was over an hour away. Hell no.
Twelve hours, particularly nights, is very taxing on the body. The shorter the commute, the better.

3 miles, 10-15 minutes depending on the red lights. 12 hour nights.
I pity the ones who have to commute to another city (60 miles), although the cost of living is much less; especially on the rather steep climb when the snow and ice are heavy. After a long night no way do I want to face that drive!

50 miles one way, about an hour drive. There are no jobs in my area.

My commute greatly varies since I now work from a home-based office and drive around to different facilities. Today my commute was about 22 miles one way.

16 or so miles I think. Takes me 20 minutes if I hit all greens and light traffic. 30 minutes in moderate traffic. 45-60 if I take my alternate snow/accident on the interstate route.
