Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi thank you. Any idea how much? How's the interview? Can you give me some tips pls tnx

You can try acfe. They are on promo now and they still have available slots for Aug intake

Thank you. How much is the tuition fee? Any tips for the interview? Thanks 😊

hello everyone am new here, my application is currently with AHPRA for the past 3 months. However I was told by my R.O that they aren't familiar with the qualification I got from Republic of Benin. He has forwarded my application to the expert/ research officer for further assessment and I don't know how long its gonna take. Does anyone have any idea how long such assessment take.

Again as regards the immunization process for the bridging program, can someone enlighten me on how to go about it cos am usually proactive and needs to be prepared

Thank you

Back-reading this topic will give you an idea how long has been the processing time for others. Some did in it a month or less, others more... it's really a case to case basis depending on a lot of factors. My experience took me three months because of some documentary requirements that I failed to submit. AHPRA received my documents around the second week of January and I got my referral letter already the last week of April.

I was already about to send a note to my RO that since the education background from my country often is directed to the bridging program why don't they just send the referral letter as soon as the other documents are in order... I have read that some did not bother to submit documents like course syllabus, etc.

As to the vaccinations, if you have been or is currently employed and your employer has vaccination programs, do avail them and be sure to ask for records... i.e. name of vaccine, lot number, expiry date and have the certification signed by the person who administered them. I do not know the vaccination programs in your country... some of the vaccinations were supposed to have been given when we were young... it would have been wonderful if you were able to keep your baby book, but you can also have them certified by your GP or local clinic if they kept records. That's basically what I did.

Hi!

Has anyone had any inkling, experience and feedback on IHNA Perth Accommodation i.e. like how many of you in the room, conduciveness for rest and relaxation and study. and I am in two minds right now on tying up with them.

Any slight information will help.

Thank you very much.

I have the same question. I'll be for July intake in Perth. I'm not entirely sure which is more practical, taking the IHNA accommodation or renting a place near the campus. Have you made arrangements with them already?

Hi! Anyone here planning to take IRON program in ETEA for Sept/Oct intake?

Hi future classmate! I have arranged accommodation thru AirBNB at least I am paying the accommodation daily instead of weekly. I am flying to Perth by July 6 that is 4 days prior to commencement of classes and most of the accommodation in gumtree, flatmates, and in IHNA are paid weekly meaning to say I can save a few bucks. Besides I don't really like talking about work/classes when I am home unless warranted though so having classmates as roommates might make it less comfortable for me..So it really depends on the person. What works for one might not work the other as they say.

I am looking forward to meeting to you soon. ^^,
